Dominican Republic - Day 5 (Ocean's World)

We woke up early again and headed out to Ocean's World. It's like Sea World, but bigger and has the animals in more of their natural habitat. It was amazing and we loved every minute of it. We got there as it opened so there were hardly any people. We were the first ones in the with the birds and the workers spent extra time with us and let us hold the birds, which they are only supposed to do if we buy their pictures. It was cool to hold the different birds. The dolphins were everywhere and I spent a lot of time watching them. Of course my camera died after the first hour and I was heart broken that the battery I charged last night ended up not charging. So I had to take a bunch of pics on my phone and will post those next. We loved watching all the shows and seeing all the animals. We laid out on the beach there and really enjoyed every minute of it. We ended up paying to do the Sea Lion encounter, which was really cool. We spent about 45 min playing and interacting with a couple sea lions. They don't let you take pics so we ended up having to buy theirs (see the following posts). We also go to snorkel in their fish tank. I had a migraine headache all day so I didn't snorkel, which meant I could take some pictures of the other 3. We found out in the afternoon that we weren't going to make it on tomorrow's flight, which meant we needed to fly out at 3:30am!  We were really bummed to lose a day of our trip, but that's what happens when you fly stand by! Once we got back to our resort we took a dip in the pool and got ready for the evening. We spent some time on the beach taking pics, ate at the Mexican restaurant again, and enjoyed the evening while we packed up.
