Halloween

Halloween was SO much fun!!! We had a super busy day but it was well worth it. We started out at Brooklyn's preschool where we walked around the strip mall and they got to trick-or-treat at all little stores. The kids loved it, of course:
While Brooklyn was in school we ran quickly to my mom's work so she could paint Brayden's face. Then we headed to Brayden's Kindergarten parade. It was fun to see him at school and he looked pretty darn cool.
After a quiet afternoon we quickly got ready again and headed out to trick-or-treat on our street. It was a perfect night and the kids didn't need their jackets. Of course the kids had to pose for pictures first.
 The neighbor girl with Brayden:
They practically ran to every house the entire night. Little Brynlee held her own and stayed with the older kids most of the night, even while insisting on carrying her heavy basket.
After we did our street we ran to a care center to trick or treat to the residents. The kids loved getting so much candy all in one room. The old people loved the kids and it was fun to visit with them.
Then we headed to the Ericson's for dinner and more trick-or-treating. Overall it was an awesome day and the kids got way too much candy...which we have all enjoyed ever since.

Snuggle Time

I can't stand to have anybody touching me while I am trying to sleep...except a newborn of course. Josh, on the other hand, loves to snuggle and nap. It's not often that the kids will slow down long enough for this, but it actually happened on a Sunday afternoon:

Bubble Bath

The kids love to take baths in our tub. One day we decided to let it fill up more than normal and turn the jets on. The kids LOVED it. They were in there forever. Obviously we need to get better bubble bath, but after a few minutes the bubble did get better. Little Brynlee kept getting lost bc she was giggling so hard. So fun!

2nd Annual Minute To Win It Halloween Party

We had my family over for our Halloween party and minute to win it games. It was a ton of fun and I think everyone really enjoyed it. We started off downstairs with pictures and yummy soups for dinner. My dad took all the pictures of each family, so I'll post those when I get them from him. I did manage to snap one of the grandkids:
The kids eating and being entertained by my dad:
After dinner we headed upstairs for all the games. We did couples games this year so we all competed with our spouses.
As you can see, Josh and I did not do so well. We still had fun though.
We had a caramel apple bar for dessert. Thanks to everyone for coming!!!

The Zoo

Josh and his buddies took off for 4 days to Chicago for the BYU/Notre Dame game. So we tried to stay as busy as we could while he was gone. My parents invited us to go to the zoo and it was a blast. We haven't been this summer so it was perfect. The kids LOVED being with my parents and enjoyed spending so much time with them. Thanks mom and dad!!!
The new arctic area is awesome. Brynlee was enthralled with all the sea lions and couldn't stop giggling every time she saw one.
Brynlee got pretty restless towards the end and kept trying to lay down on every floor. Gross.

Brynlee's Birthday Celebration!

Sunday night we headed over to the Ericson's to finally celebrate Brynlee's birthday. We had a yummy pasta bar for dinner then opened presents and had cake and ice cream. Brynlee loved all the attention. For weeks we've been asking, "Who's going to have a birthday?" and Brynlee would put both arms in the air and say "ME!!!"
We finally invested in a cute, nice little kitchen. The sheet was the best way of hiding it. She has LOVED it and continues to play with it.

Girl's Date

My sisters, mom, and I have been planning this day for a while. We got tickets to the Desert Star's Wickeder show. I felt guilty taking Brooklyn out on Brynlee's birthday, but it was the only day we could all go. We had a blast and loved the show. Brooklyn loved it and did pretty well, but did not stop talking (which was expected :) Thanks girls for such a fun day!
