We headed to the cabin with the Ericson's for the first time this season. It always is a little bit of work to get everything ready for summer. The kids had a lot of fun! Sunday night Brooklyn came down with a fever and had the fever all day Monday too. Brielle, unfortunately, struggled the second night we were there as well. She didn't have a fever, but she woke up as we were going to bed and couldn't go back to sleep. I ended up staying up with her until 7am...yep. 7am. We spent a couple hours in the bathroom, on the stairs, and outside as soon as the sun was coming up. Because of all her issues, I just assumed she was having a bad reaction to something she ate. I noticed she was rubbing her feet all night and noticed blisters all over her toes. Huh?! I thought maybe it was heat rash so at some point during the night I changed her into different pjs. 2 nights later Brayden woke up with a rash on his feet and we determined it was hand, foot, and mouth disease. Awesome. The intense itching kept her awake all night. She finally zonked out at 7, as did I, but when I woke up at 9:45 I was worried about Brooklyn so I got up. I took a nap later in the day, but I can honestly say that I haven't pulled an all nighter since college! Not fun. N-e way, we enjoyed our cabin trip. Brynlee started getting a fever while we were loading up the car, so both girls struggled on the way home. As soon as we got home Brooklyn threw up. But besides that, it was great!
