Brayden’s Birthday

Brayden, like everyone, counted down to his birthday. 15!!! I can't believe we are 1 year away from having a driver! When deciding how to celebrate Brayden asked if he could invite some friends over to hang out with for the evening, so we took him to lunch at Teriyaki Grill instead of doing dinner. For the afternoon I took the kids along with Dawson bowling then headed home so Brayden could get ready for his friends to come over. Happy birthday bud!

 

The Snow Globe

My Christmas decorators bought this snow globe to put in a tray on our ottoman. Britney quickly found it and fell in love with it. She sits there for 20-30 minutes at a time starting at it and singing Jingle Bells with it. She shows everyone that walks in the door, which made it that much more devastating when she was showing someone and she accidentally dropped it and it shattered all over the floor. It broke my heart to see her so upset over it...she cried and cried. I tried to find the same snow globe but never could find it. I kept buying any snow globe I ran across but none of them captured her attention like this one. Still makes me sad thinking about it. 

 

Brayden’s Birthday Party

Our first (of many) co ed teenage party. Brayden invited a bunch of friends over for a party for his birthday and it was a lot of fun! They swam, had s'mores, played in the court, used the pool table, played in the ballpit, and hung out in the theater. It was fun to see our whole basement and backyard used and it seemed like they all had a good time!

Decorating for Christmas

There's no way I can decorate a 12' Christmas tree. I reached out to Chris who helped me design my house and asked if she would help me with my tree. She didn't have much time open to help since she does so many trees for Christmas, but we randomly both had a night free so we met up and went shopping and bought anything and everything we could find to fit the theme we were going with. Chris and her partner Pam started on the tree, and once they got started they couldn't stop. Next thing I knew they were decorating my mantle, fireplace cabinets, banisters, the front door, new couch pillows, centerpieces, and everywhere in my kitchen they felt like needed a Christmas touch. I can't wait to see how it all turns out!

 

Bingham Basketball

Who made the Bingham high school basketball team??? This kid. We’ve been stressed and nervous for him all week as he’s had tryouts and nightly cuts. We were so relieved to hear he made it and the girls were so cute and decorated his room to congratulate him. He was hungry and exhausted after his last day of tryouts so I took him to his favorite place to celebrate...Teriyaki Grill.

He’s been dribbling a ball since he was 18 months old and hasn’t stopped! We are so proud of him for all the hours and hours of hard work he has put into his game. He’s been the smallest one on the court for years but instead of letting that hold him back he has worked even harder and figured out how to use that to his advantage.

A big shout out to his coach for the past 6 yrs Marlin Denning…there’s no way we can thank you for molding these boys into the players they’ve become. The hours you’ve spent teaching and coaching Brayden haven’t gone unnoticed and he is the player he is bc of you. Thank you for teaching them not only the drills and fundamentals but also how to be good, respectful young men.

YW Service Project

The youth of the ward did a progressive service project for mutual. They all split up and did service projects at anyone's houses that had signed up. I wanted to find something fun and unusual for them to do so I had them help move my Christmas tree from my garage and set it up inside. It was fun and I was SO grateful for their help!

 

Evening with the Brauns

The Brauns invited us over for dinner.  The girls were so excited to see them again since it's been a while. We ate, played games, and enjoyed our evening with them!
