My Birthday!

My birthday was pretty low key this year. We went to the food show for lunch which was fun to see Josh and be with the kids. For dinner we picked up Brynlee early from dance and headed to Rock Creek Pizza for dinner with Josh's parents. Getting older isn't as fun these days, but it's always fun to spend extra time with family. 

Nicholas Food Show

Josh had his annual food show and this year it happened to fall on my birthday! I surprised the kids and checked them out of school. They love coming and we have come every year for the past 8 yrs, but they kids that are in school usually have to miss it. We walked around and tried all the fun food and samples they had. The REAL Salt Lake Lion was there and loved playing with the kids every time we passed him. On our way out we ran into him again and somehow ended up doing a handstand contest. The Lion was surprised I could beat him and the kids were all very proud of me and thought I was the "coolest!" Lol. What a great start to my birthday!

Brielle's Preschool Program

Josh, Brynlee, Britney, and I were able to go to Brielle's preschool program. It was a cute little program with some songs and nursery rhymes. When it was Brielle's turn to say her nursery rhyme so scowled and didn't want to get up. So she sat there for most of it. She didn't sing either. Oh well. We have loved Tori and Debbie and are excited she gets to go back for another year with them to get ready for kindergarten.

Mother's Day

A week ago I was asked to speak in church on Mother's Day about the atonement. I spent the week preparing my talk and I enjoyed being able to speak. After church we ate lunch, did cards and gifts, and as soon as Britney was down for her nap Josh and I locked ourselves in our bedroom and relaxed for the afternoon. The kids were great and took care of the little ones so we could nap and enjoy a quiet afternoon. For the evening we headed to the Ericson's for dinner. We were able to give Kay, Rachael, and Vivian their annual roses and it was nice to spend the evening with them. My mom is in Elko Nevada so we will be visiting her later.

4-Wheelin!

Josh headed to Moab for a couple of days to go 4-wheeling with some buddies. They had a great time and we missed him while he was gone! When he got home and unloaded the 4-wheeler the girls all wanted rides so Josh took them around the neighborhood and they were in heaven!

Family Sunday/Egg Roll

It was our turn to host my family's family night, and since it's April we also had our Easter egg roll. We did shish-ka-bobs for dinner and they were great! And as always the egg roll was a lot of fun. My egg was the overall champion! We hung out with everyone for the evening and enjoyed their company!
