Miss Independent

I have a love/hate relationship with how busy we are. I love that the kids get to be involved with so many things, but I don't love that I'm not always available at all times for each of the kids. But one positive thing that comes from being so busy is that my kids have all become quite independent. They have to make themselves dinner quite often which has turned them all into good little cooks! Even Britney doesn't even bat an eye if she has to make herself some food. Even a full gallon of milk won't deter this little munchkin from making herself some Mac and cheese. 

 

Brielle’s Team Party

During Brielle's break at dance they had their Christmas party. They had dinner, exchanged gifts, then went through the Christmas in Color Christmas lights.

 

Dinner with the Brauns and Ayalas

A friend from Arizona was in town so we invited Josh and his daughter, Alyssa, as well as the Brauns over for dinner. We had never met Alyssa before and it was fun for the girls to have another girl around. While they were here Alyssa started drawing some anime drawings freehand and Brielle couldn't stop watching her. So Brielle got out a piece of paper, found an image on her iPad, and started drawing freehand like Alyssa. Ummm...apparently we have a daughter that can draw! We were all shocked that she was able to draw freehand. For a while she has been using her light board and sketching things she prints off the computer. But for her to be able to look at a picture and copy it was amazing! The 2 sketches in the picture are both ones Brielle did! Good job Brielle! And it was fun meeting you Alyssa!

 

Britney’s Team Party

Britney had her team party over at one of the dancer's houses. This little team is adorable and they all have so much fun together. They ate, exchanged gifts, and just had fun!

 

Brynlee’s Team Party

Brynlee headed over to a clubhouse of one of her friend's grandmas for her Christmas team party. They hung out, swam, and exchanged gifts!

 

Masterclass with Katie

One of the dance teachers from a convention we've been too many times was in town and came and did a master class at the studio. Brooklyn really wanted to go ad she had a great time! She loved learning the combos and being with all her friends!

 

Bingham Bball Game

It is such a different experience watching Brayden play basketball for Bingham. The biggest difference is probably my stress level...I can't believe how intense these games are and how invested we get watching them. The losses are hard for all of us but the wins are an amazing high. Brayden is the starting point guard for the freshman team and really has grown so much already helping to lead the team and teach them how to run the plays. We are still just playing pre season games as the season doesn't start until January, but the games are just as intense.
