Dominican Republic - Day 2 (At the Resort)

We spent the day relaxing at the resort so I didn't take many pictures. We quickly realized that this isn't the nicest resort (we kinda went cheap this time) and we definitely wished we had spent a little more and stayed somewhere else. Everything was pretty run down and dated, which was ok but the food was terrible. The buffet made us all sick and there was nothing on it that we cared to eat...even Josh (who eats anywhere) struggled to find something half way decent. So tonight we headed to the little burger/pizza joint on the edge of the resort and finally had some better food.

Dominican Republic - Day 1 (Travel)

Our trip finally came! We've been planning this trip for a few months and are SO excited to finally be here. We went with Michael and Natalie and were able to use their buddy passes (thank you Michael for working for Jet Blue!) It was our first time flying standby so we were a little nervous about how it would go. But we made it to NYC without a problem and luckily made it on the flight to the DR as well. We flew the red eye flight so we were completely exhausted but of course it was worth it. We took a taxi to our resort and checked into our rooms. We spent the evening walking around the resort and hopped in the pool for a bit too. It was beautiful, relaxing, and we enjoyed every minute of the day!

3rd Grade Talent Show

Brooklyn had her talent show and of course she wanted to tumble! I didn't get any pics of her tumbling bc I was on stage ready to spot her harder trick. But she did great!!!

The Golf Cart

I looked outside and saw Brayden driving the little Escalade around and was glad to see him enjoying the girls' car. Upon further inspection, I noticed that he was golfing and using the escalade as his golf cart. It was so fun to watch him golf around the yard and drive to his ball.

Mermaid Tail Blanket

Brielle got a mermaid tail blanket for her birthday and ever since then Britney has wanted one. She always tries to take Brielle's and then cries when Brielle takes it back. So when I was at Costco and saw the same one Brielle had but in a different color I splurged and got it for her. She seriously loves it! She sleeps in it every single night (I'm writing this blog post in September and she still sleeps in it!)

Father's Day

Father's Day is always busy trying to spend time with all the fathers in our lives. But we managed to do it and still enjoy the day. We were able to give Josh some gifts at home before we left to visit my parents. We ended up at Josh's parents and enjoyed dinner with them and some time to relax. Thanks DADS for all you do for us!

Too Cute!

These girls. They just are too cute for words! Nothing beats dinner and ice cream at grandma's house, chillin' on the fireplace, and a ladybug.
