We spent most of Friday playing outside and hanging out inside. It was extremely cold the whole weekend, but we managed. The kids loved sledding down the hill...as did Lexi. She kept chasing anyone that went down the hill, which was great bc it wore her out! Josh's parents came up with Aaron, Javier (friend from Panama), and Andrew. Rachael and Ben came up in the evening too, so it was a full house! I don't know that we've had that many people up there for a long time. It was fun! Unfortunately, however, Brielle and Britney were both in our room for Friday night. It was awful. Britney struggled throughout the night and it kept waking up Brielle. I couldn't get Britney to sleep no matter what I did. I spent an hour with her on the stairs playing, bc I had no where I could go. By 4am I turned my phone on for her to watch a show, and of course Brielle woke up and wanted a show too. So we gave her a phone and just played there for an hour while they watched shows. I finally was able to get Britney to sleep at 5, then I had to get Brielle to sleep. I finally crawled into bed at 5:30am. I hadn't slept a wink until then. It was awful...especially bc I was supposed to get up early and go shopping with Kay, Rachael, and Natalie! So I wrote a note and put it on the bathroom mirror to tell Natalie to go without me.
Britney woke up at 9 to eat, so I fed her and put her back to bed. I went upstairs to see what was going on, with the intention of going back to bed, and found Natalie sitting there waiting for me. She didn't see my note! I felt so bad that they were waiting for me. So they said they would wait while I hurried and got ready. Every year Kay takes everyone to Park City for Christmas and gives us money. It worked out great to go to the cabin for the weekend and come down to Park City to shop. So I took Britney and Brooklyn with me and we headed down to PC. We had a great time and got lots of shopping done. The guys brought the rest of the kids down and we met up with them for lunch at Teriyaki Grill. Then we all went shopping for the rest of the afternoon. Luckily Britney fell asleep in her car seat and slept for 3 hrs while we shopped. We finally finished and headed back up to the cabin. Michael and Natalie headed home from PC bc they wanted to be to church on Sunday. We enjoyed the evening and relaxed and played games with the kids. Luckily, Britney slept much better that night being in a room by herself.
Sunday we again just relaxed and enjoyed the time up at the cabin. We headed down in the evening, bathed the kids, and got them to bed. They have been off track and start school tomorrow so they need to get back to their original bed times!
