Island Park - Day 5

Saturday morning we cleaned the cabins and headed back to Rexburg. Ryon and Jana always have a big day planned for the 4th of July at their house. We did the big waterslide and swimming pool all afternoon. For dinner we had a nice bbq, then waited around for Ryon's firework show. Unfortunately, Brielle hadn't been doing well throughout the week with her tummy issues, so we decided to head home after dinner. I had been up with her for a few hrs each night and didn't want to have to take care of her at Ryon's house with everyone sleeping everywhere. So we packed up the car and headed out. The kids were pretty bummed, but we saw a few firework displays on our drive home so that was cool. The drive was the best drive we've ever had. All 5 kids slept for most of it and Josh and I got to just talk. It was such a great vacation. Fun to be with my family and all the cousins!

Island Park - Day 4

Our last day was SO much fun! We headed to the lake and spent the whole day playing in the water. I am not sure what happened, but I am missing all the pics I took at the lake :( I'll have to post some later that my dad took. After we got back we showered, ate, and relaxed again. My dad did some magic tricks for the kids and we stayed up late talking and enjoying the time we had to be together. 

Island Park - Day 3

Thursday morning we woke up and most of the group went to go shoot guns. We didn't care to go so we stayed back to relax. We thought Brayden would have fun so we sent him with my dad. Big mistake. After a little while we decided to head over to the little Mexican restaurant by the river. I felt bad that Brayden wasn't with us, so luckily we saw Carson on the 4-wheeler and followed him to where they were shooting guns. Brayden had a headache and wasn't feeling good so he broke down crying when he saw us. We headed over to lunch and he just put his head on the table the whole time we were there. Poor kid. We went outside to then feed the birds. Since it was on the river the girls loved throwing rocks into the river and there were plenty of birds to feed. Brayden finally was able to get up for a little bit and feed the birds.

 Afterwards we headed back to the cabin to put the 2 little girls down for a nap. Brayden still wasn't feeling well and took a nap too. He ended up throwing up a couple of times and that wasn't fun. So did 2 of the other kids...so it made the rounds throughout the following week through all the families. While I stayed back with the napping kids Josh took the girls with everyone else to a little river and a little hike.

 We hung out for a bit, ate dinner, and enjoyed the evening!

 While we were sitting around a mama moose and her baby came strolling though. Nacho, the dog, got a little too close and the moose just about stomped the poor guy. He was sure not to get too close after that.

Island Park - Day 2

We relaxed through the morning then headed back to the river to hang out for the day. The kids LOVED playing in the water. My mom stayed back at the cabin while Brielle took a nap then joined us for the second half of the afternoon. The kayaks were SO much fun and even the little kids were able to paddle on them. It was such a fun afternoon!

 We headed back to the cabins to shower and clean up for dinner. We built a camp fire and hung out the rest of the night!
