24th of July

We didn't do much on the 24th. It was fun to have Josh around all day and just relax. For the evening we headed over to the Ericson's house for a bbq and fireworks. We took Lexi and it was a great evening.
We set up the chairs so we could light the fireworks that we had left over from last year. We were about to start when one of the neighbors told us to head up the street for a big firework show. So we quickly packed up and headed over there. They had a bunch of snacks and desserts and lit a bunch of fun fireworks.

Rodeo

Andrew and Julie had extra tickets to the rodeo so we quickly jumped in the car and headed out. It was a lot  of fun and the kids did better than I thought they would. Brynlee got pretty restless towards the end bc it was bed time, but it was still a blast!
The kids loved looking out the window:

Family Firework Derby

We had our July family night with my family and Justin and Ali's house. This year we held our first firework derby. We each brought cars from home that we had added fireworks to. Whoever's car goes the farthest by just the firework power wins! It turned out to be a lot of fun. Here we are waiting to begin:
All lined up ready to go:
 Our cars:
Justin's turkey car went the farthest. Our little truck took second place! Yay! Thanks Justin and Ali for a fun night!

Our Little Monkey

Brynlee is such a little climber. I end up having to turn all our barstools upside down to keep her from climbing onto the counters. The other day I decided to go looking for Bryn when it was quiet for too long. I found her sitting on the stove with the jar of cinnamon sugar she got from the cupboard above the microwave. Awesome. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but she is covered in cinnamon sugar.

FHE

Brayden has always been a very coordinated kid. Unfortunately, we haven't spent much time riding bikes...we are always playing ball when we are outside. So we finally decided we need to teach Brayden to ride his bike without training wheels. He wasn't thrilled that we made him start with his little bike. He always rides his big Spiderman bike. He was doing well, until we realized the tire on the bike had a bulge and was making it impossible to for him to balance correctly. Oh well. We'll try again once we fix his bike.
 Brooklyn had fun rollerskating:

4th of July

We had a fun day on the 4th. Our neighbors invited the kids over to play on the waterslide in the morning. We spent the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon working in the yard.
After the kids took naps we met up with Kay and Steve at the Sandy parade. The kids LOVED it like always. Here we all are waiting for the parade to start.
 Saluting the flag:
It didn't take long for Brynlee to figure out that they throw candy. She would wait and wait then start running around screaming when they would throw out the candy.
This was Brynlee doing "gymnastics" when the gymnastics float went by with a bunch of kids doing flips:
 Looking and waiting for candy:
After the parade we headed back to our house. We had a fun bbq then watched the neighbors set off their fireworks. After I put the kids to bed, I noticed the Sandy city and Real Stadium fireworks going off out my bedroom window. So I quickly got the kids and let them watch the big fireworks. Fun day!!!

FHE/Fireworks

Sean and Rachelle hosted family night for my family at our house. Rachelle did a great job decorating and we all had a lot of fun. We bought a bunch of fireworks and had a firework show.
Brynlee wasn't a huge fan of the loud ones, but by the end she did a lot better by just putting her hands over her ears.
 Sparklers!!!
 Justin and Celeste:
My dad was the designated pick up person. He had a little too much fun with this shot:
Snaps!
I bought these outfits last year, hoping they would fit the girls this year. Brooklyn's was a little small, but they are still adorable!!!
