Intrigue Nationals - Travel To and From

We've been waiting and dreading this trip for months. the girls love Intrigue and Britney has had the most amazing year traveling with them this year. We are excited to watch her do her thing this week, but also sad that it's ending. There were lots of fun reunions with girls from across the country that all 3 girls have met. The flight to Florida was a red eye so it was a little rough. We landed at 5am, checked into our hotel, and slept til we had to check out at noon. Then we grabbed an Uber to head to the convention hotel. We had the evening to relax so we walked around and ended up going on a beautiful bike ride. I love my girls and I love being with them.  There are only 5 other girls from our studio (plus Misty and 2 other moms) coming to this Nationals so it will be a little different than normal. We are excited to have a more intimate experience with those that are coming. We shared Misty's hotel suite and it was nice to spend extra time with her. 

The flight home was a nice way to end the week. Can't wait to sleep in our own beds!

 

Friends are the Best

It can be hard at times when friends overlap. The girls get pretty possessive over who gets to play with whom, but occasionally the starts align and they all get along. They've been inviting girls over from their new dance teams and hanging out and having so much fun!

 

Go Bingham!

The official basketball season doesn't start til November, but Brayden's JV year ended in February and that's when his Varsity year began. He was chosen by the coach to be one of two senior captains and has already started fulfilling those duties. June is notorious for high school ball and is full of tournaments and games. This group of boys killed it! It has been so much fun to watch this new team gel together and figure out their rhythm. They won almost all of the 35 games they played this month (lost less than 5 games). It was amazing. We are hopeful that next year is going to be a great year and we can't wait to watch what they do. 

 

NRG Nationals - Days 4 & 5

This Nationals experience has been amazing! We have loved everything about it and I can say it's the most fun the studio has had as a whole at a nationals. It's not as competitive as Intrigue so the girls have been much more relaxed and get to just have fun. Brynlee won quite a few scholarships during the classes and was called up on stage a few times. I don't have many pics of Brielle bc she was off with her friends the majority of the week having a blast. At the awards ceremony Brynlee was awards 4th place for her solo winning $175! So proud of her and how much she put into her solo this year! Britney didn't win the National Prodigy (it's the first year they have chosen a national prodigy in the mini age division so they only chose one girl and chose the older girl. Britney still has another year and can compete for it next year.) Overall our first Nationals this year was a huge success!
