Minerette Parent Showcase
I didn't get an pictures of Brooklyn of course, but Brynlee and her friend Presley came with us to the Minerette parent showcase. They both have sisters that are Minerettes and they both want to be on the drill team in a couple year. This was the first time we were able to see the competition routines and they are SO good! These girls work extremely hard and it's exciting for comp season to finally get started!

Mom/Daughter Minerette Party
We had the annual Minerette mom/daughter Christmas party! I haven't really been able to meet many of the other moms yet so it was fun to hang out with them a little bit and start putting faces to names. It was a fun pajama night and we had a lot of fun!

Violin Concert
My dad invited us all to his violin concert downtown in the tabernacle on Temple Square. We bundled up bc it was very cold and headed down there. We met up with Justin and Celeste's families as well and it was fun for the cousins to hang out and support grandpa.

Tough Loss
This is why we put 3 tv's in this family room. Sometimes there are just too many games you want to watch going at the same time. BYU was playing a tough game (win for a bowl game, lose and it's the last game) and Utah was also playing. It was a tough game, and one that BYU should've won. So it was pretty upsetting that we lost. This room of people did NOT go home happy.

Thanksgiving
We had the Ericson's over for Thanksgiving this year. They didn't come over til later in the afternoon so we all slept in, cleaned up the house, and relaxed all afternoon. We spent the evening with the Ericson's and it was great to spend it with them.

Brayden’s 17th Birthday
I can't believe that Brayden is 17. Time is going too fast right now. He is still the best kid we could ask for and is always so thoughtful and respectful to all those around him. I seriously wouldn't change anything...except maybe for him to be less busy so I could hang out with him more. We love having him around and can't wait to see what this next year brings for him. Happy Birthday Brayden!

Festival of Trees
Festival of Trees looked a little different for our group this year. It’s the 10th anniversary of my sweet niece’s passing and doing a tree in her honor. Because of “scheduling conflicts” we decided to decorate the tree at my sister Rachelle’s house last Sunday with plans to transport the tree to the expo center today.
After we finished decorating the tree we surprised Sean and Rachelle with gifting them the tree rather than donating the tree to the festival. They now get to have a beautiful tree decorated in honor of their angel Samantha. It’s all wired together so they can store it and enjoy it for many years to come.
We’ve loved the tradition of doing the Festival of Trees every year. It’s become a very special and sacred experience and we love keeping the memories of Sammie alive and sharing them with others this way.

BYU Game
Last BYU game of the season! It was a little chilly but wasn't bad considering it's November. It was fun to go one last time to cheer on the Cougs!

1st Game
Brayden had his first basketball games and we are excited for the season to start! He is one of two JV kids that is on the varsity squad. He won't get many minutes with varsity but it's awesome that he gets to be a part of them. He starts for the JV team and plays most of the game. We love watching him!

Dallas Intrigue
Convention #3 - Dallas, Tx. What a great weekend! Britney assisted the teachers at the Intrigue convention in Dallas and had such a great experience! It was her first big convention to assist at so she was a little nervous but loved every minute of it (except getting up at 5am every day). We flew in Friday morning (leaving the house at 4:30am) and as soon as she walked into the hotel she was whisked away into a 5 hour rehearsal. I won't make that mistake again...we will definitely fly in the night before rather than the morning of. It was rough trying to catch up on sleep the whole weekend.
There are 5 mini assistants total and 3 of them were at this convention. They instantly clicked and loved being together every minute of every day lol. The classes went great and she killed it being in front of the 100 minis that were all there competing for scholarships. She assisted in 10 classes and got to perform 3 numbers in the welcome show and 3 numbers in the closing show…all of which she learned during a 5 hr rehearsal on Friday. It’s intense.
She can’t wait to do it again even if she is completely exhausted. It truly is amazing to see what these kids are capable of doing at such a young age.
