St. George

Back when we heard David Archuleta was going to play Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Tuacahn we knew we wanted to take the kids. They have grown up with that musical and I'm always playing the music. We got tickets with Kay and Steve as well as Michael and Natalie and their kids. We all headed down and had a fun weekend in St. George. We let Brookyn bring Andi and that ended up being a lot of fun for her and the girls. 

 

Broken Hand

While Josh and I were in Vegas Brayden texted me that his hand was still hurting from when he hurt it playing ball earlier in the week. I arranged for neighbors to take him to and from the dr so they could get it x-rayed. Yep...broken. Pretty much the very center of his hand fractured but luckily it was very minor. Unfortunately that meant 5 weeks without basketball. It killed him not being able to play but it healed nicely and quickly and you can't even tell he was out.

 

Cowabunga Bay

These girls are definitely enjoying their summer. We were invited to Cowabunga Bay so we went and the girls had a blast with their friends.

 

Josh’s 40th Birthday

For months I've tried coming up with something fun to do for Josh's 40th birthday. July ended up being a blur and I was only home for a couple of days the entire month so we weren't able to get anything planned. Luckily we were able to throw together a last minute swim party with some friends and family to celebrate this milestone. 

 

Las Vegas

Josh had his annual WFG convention in Las Vegas the same week as girls camp. Luckily we worked it out so that I could be at girls camp Mon-Wed and come home Wednesday night after testimony meeting so we could fly out early Thursday morning. We attended the convention all day Thursday and Friday (yes we had to sit at the very top of the arena so I could lay down bc of my back. So fun.) Ironically Justin and Ali were also in Vegas with their family so on Saturday we hooked up with them and went to lunch and a magic show before we caught our flight home. 

 

Bed Swing!

I've been working on this project for a while now. I knew when I built the house I wanted a place to relax outside on the deck. It is so quiet and peaceful out there I wanted to be able to comfortably enjoy it. It took me over a year to find the swing and I finally bought it. The girls all helped me stain it, but then it sat on the ground on the deck for a few weeks. Luckily our tech guy was here installing our security cameras and offered to help us hang it. An hour later I have my swing! I still need to pick out the colors and pillows and stuff but at least we can start enjoying it.

 

Swim Party

The girls invited some friends over to swim. They are loving the lily pad and haven't stopped playing on it.

 

Dance Hangover

What a week the girls and I had in Florida. We made it home safely and then we crashed hard. The kids played games and relaxed all day. It was fun to find all the girls at various times asleep in various positions. In the evening we went to see my sister perform in the play The Music Man. Not going to lie...it was hard staying awake after such a long week and a long travel day getting home. But we all enjoyed the play and most of us stayed awake for it lol.

 

Brit Part 2

Brit loves attention and making people laugh. So she has no problem deciding that the size 12 panda pajamas are now hers and she doesn't care that they are ginormous on her.
