Fireworks and Moving Day 1

To help with the qurantine, South Jordan organized a fireworks show with Draper and Riverton. They all set off fireworks at the same time and we've been looking forward to it all week. We spent the day moving into Josh's parent's basement so we could start sleeping there tonight. We got it all set up then headed over to the new house. We all wanted to climb on the roof and watch the fireworks. Of course where they lit the fireworks from was behind a pretty big tree, so it wasn't the best show, but it was fun to climb on the roof and dream about when we get to move in and live there.

 

Happy Anniversary!

After 16 years of being married it's hard to find new ways to celebrate. But I ran across our wedding dvd while packing and decided it would be fun to watch it again. I was able to set it all up outside so we could watch it in the hot tub. It was lit up by the candles and I was surprised by how romantic it was. I had stopped by Kneaders and got our favorite desserts to top it all off...Key lime pie for Josh and an eclair for me. I never thought I could love someone as much as I love Josh. I'm grateful he is the one I get to experience this mortal journey with and we get to be together for eternity.  Always and Forever.

 

Night Games

Word spread that we were doing night games so a bunch of kids from the neighborhood came over. They played out front a little bit as well as the backyard. I think capture the flag was what they played the majority of the time. It was fun to see a lot of the kids we haven't seen for a while!

Sunday birthdays as an adult are the best! I really enjoyed spending the day together with family without the stresses that come during the rest of the week. We are in the middle of packing and getting ready to move, so it was nice to have a day to relax and be together. The kids all surprised me with some cards, crafts they made, and some gifts then we headed over to Steve and Kay's house. We had a wonderful sacrament, lunch, and enjoyed the afternoon. The girls spent the whole afternoon in the basement with their cousins writing and practicing a play. They put on a great performance for all of us and they did a great job!

 

Preschool Graduation

Our last preschool graduation! I can't believe how big Britney is getting. She is excited and SO ready for kindergarten. She continues to shock us all with how smart she is. She loves reading and is always learning and remembering new words. She counts, adds, and loves anything to do with numbers.  She was a trooper this year in a class full of boys. She's a tiny little thing but loved by everyone!

Hmmm...

I can't say I was thrilled to walk out and see this, but I couldn't bring myself to stop them bc of how much fun they were having. I love seeing the older kids playing with the younger kids. These 2 seem to be forming a special bond...it will be fun to see how their relationship continues to grow over the years.

 

Spoons

We played one of my favorite childhood games for family night. We've played it before, but it's been a while. It's great that the kids are all old enough that we can start playing games together and we can all have fun doing so. Britney caught on quick and did great!

 

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a little different this year. We were able to do a porch visit with my parents before we spent the afternoon with the Ericson's at our house. We had a nice sacrament meeting and relaxed for the rest of the day. 

 

Diamond Painting

The girls got diamond painting projects for Easter and they continue to work on them. It's a project that takes hours and hours, but it's a lot of fun to see the progress.

 

Outside Painting

Once in a while we get an idea that turns out to be amazing...this was one of them! The girls set up their painting table and started painting anything and everything they could find. It kept them busy for days!

 

Cupcakes!

It's always fun to get together with the Ericsons, and even more fun when cupcakes are involved! 

 

Disney Sing A Long

Disney did a fun quarantine sing a long and of course we couldn't miss it! We were all enthralled and loved singing to all the songs. Thank you Disney for providing a fun and bright moment during such a hard time.

 

Addy!

Brooklyn's friend Addy came over and spent some time with the girls. She is good friend to Brooklyn from dance and like a big sister to the younger 3 girls. They love her SO much and Addy always takes the time to make each of them feel special!
