Brewer Christmas Party

We got together with my family to celebrate Christmas. We had a lot of fun eating dinner, exchanging gifts, and playing. Sammie gave the kids each a little penguin bag with some little penguin gifts inside. The kids loved it!

Snow!

The kids were so excited to go play in the snow! It's a good thing they enjoyed it since it might be the only time this season they get to play in the snow! Such crazy weather! It took a little bit to bundle them all up, but they had plenty of fun!

Christmas!!!

I love Christmas!!! I mean...who doesn't?! It's so fun to work so hard for months getting all the kids' presents then enjoying the excitement with them. We tried to stay on the conservative side this year. Partly bc as the kids get older the things they want are more expensive. And also I am SO tired of having so much stuff in our house I didn't really want to add more toys. The kids were SO anxious that mom and dad FINALLY got out of bed at 9:30 to make sure Santa came. The kids closed their eyes and on the count of 3 turned around and yelled "Merry Christmas!" Then of course 3 minutes later all the presents were unwrapped and the kids were in heaven.

After they opened all their presents, we explained that those were all the gifts from mom and dad. The kids were a little confused till we explained that Santa brought them each one big gift and left it down in the basement for them. Brayden got a pool/air hockey/ping pong table and loved it! The basement has pretty much become a girls palace so it will be nice for him to have something to do down there with his friends.

 Brynlee got a little, well not so little, roller coaster. She wasn't quite sure about it at first, but has since enjoyed every minute of it! It took us a while to teach her how to push the car back up to the top by herself so we didn't have to do it every time, but she learned! This has been a hit with kids of all ages!

 Brooklyn got a gymnastics bar. She LOVES it and is constantly flipping around it...along with everyone else.

 Brynlee got a dollhouse that is bigger than she is. She also got a bunch of the princess barbies. Brooklyn never really got into dolls, but Brynlee loves playing with them.

 My 3 girlies! After german pancakes for breakfast we all hung out and played. My parents visited us in the afternoon and brought more gifts. Then all the Ericsons came a little later and we had a pasta bar for dinner and continued opening presents and playing. What a fun and exhausting day!

Christmas - Before the Munchkins

Our tradition if for all the kids to wait until we are all ready to do Christmas together. We blocked off the kitchen so there could be no peeking. All the kids enjoyed having screen time upstairs while mom and dad slept in till 9:30. Yes...we are cruel to make them wait that long but they really didn't mind. Then of course I had to go take pictures while they all waited some more. All the presents in the family room were from mom, dad, and each other. Santa couldn't fit his gifts in this room so he left their Santa gifts in the basement for them. Here are all the pics before the kids made it to destroy it all:

Christmas Eve

We spent the evening at the Ericson's for Christmas Eve. Dinner was great and it was fun to hang out with them. The kids got to open their Christmas pjs and loved them! Well...almost. Brynlee's were a little big so she was pretty upset about it. Oops.

I can't remember what the kids were watching, but they were pretty enthralled with it. So cute!

Christmas Cuties

I tried to snap a few pictures of the kids after church in their Christmas dresses. It didn't go too well. The baby was not cooperating, but we did our best. And of course I was so focused on trying to get the baby to smile I didn't notice my camera setting change and the last few pics I took made the kids have super shiny faces. Bummer. Oh well...maybe next year!
