Camping...Sort Of

We had been working in the yard all evening when Rachelle called. They were going to go camping but the campground was full. So they ended up coming over to use our grill to cook all the meat they had prepared. They also had all the fixins for smores, so the kids fully enjoyed cooking and eating the smores with them. 

So cute!

I just love this girl! I've always wanted a thumb sucker, but never got one. I thought maybe Brielle was going to start, but this was just a fluke :)

Helping

We've been super busy trying to get the yard ready for Brielle's blessing. The kids loved it when I assigned them to help haul bricks around the yard.

Visiting Samantha

Sunday evening we stopped by Samantha's grave and laid down some flowers for her. We were able to talk about her for a few minutes and talk about where she is. We still miss Sammie SO much and are always thinking about her. We love you Sammie!!!

Wedding

The daughter of one of Josh's accounts got married and they invited us to their reception. A Mexican wedding reception is much different than an American one. The music was very loud and they were doing a lot of dancing and cheering. Here are the kids watching:

Cabin

We did a quick trip up to the cabin with the Ericsons. On the way we stopped in Park City for lunch:

 Jacob and Fernanda came up on Sunday. They got themselves a new little puppy, Jesse. The kids love her!

Preschool Graduation

Brooklyn graduated from preschool!!! I still can't believe she'll be in kindergarten soon! She has loved her teacher and we have loved her school. Here she is with Miss Tricia:

New Lawn Mower

2 years ago we bought a riding lawn mower off KSL. Worst. Experience. Ever. They totally ripped us off and it ended up missing parts and had lots of issues. We put a bunch of money into it, but ended up selling it to someone to use for parts last year. So we have been saving up ever since to buy a new one. We finally saved up enough for the one we wanted. It is SO awesome and Josh is loving it. Instead of 2 hours to mow the lawn, it takes 30 min. The kids love taking rides and Josh loves mowing the lawn. Win-win!

New Camera

For my birthday Josh gave me a new lens for my dslr camera as well as a new point and shoot camera. The kids have destroyed my other point and shoot. So Brielle became an easy subject to practice on.

Brayden's Mother's Day Talk

I asked Brayden what he thinks I do as a mother. I turned what he said into his talk:

A mother is many things. A nurse when I am sick:

 A cook when I am hungry:

 A teacher when I need to learn:

 A cleaner when the house is messy:

 But the most important thing she does is love. I'm glad my Heavenly Father gave us each a mother.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was so busy this year. Josh was asked to speak so he was busy preparing his talk all night and morning. Brayden also had to give a talk, so we were practicing that as well. We ended up going to Mike and Natalie's house in the morning where we were able to Skype with Josh's brother Aaron. He's in Spain on a mission. We had breakfast there then rushed back to get ready for church. We all went to church where Josh gave a wonderful talk. After church we started getting ready for a bbq at our house with Josh's family. My parents were in the area visiting their moms so they stopped by so we didn't have to drive to their house. Rachelle and Sean were with them so it was fun for them to stop by as well. We had roses ready for the kids to give my mom and Rachelle.

 We gave my mom a bean bag toss game. Rachelle gave my mom this beautiful picture of Samantha:

 Every time my parents come over Brayden has to get his dinosaur that they gave him on their "date."

 While my parents were here, Rachel Skyped from Panama. We ended up talking to her for quite a while...so long that we all ended up eating while talking to her on the computer.
