In House Intrigue

What a weekend! Not often do we go 4 for 4 for the girls getting scholarships from a dance convention, but this weekend at the Intrigue convention they did! I was stressed and nervous for them bc I know how hard they work at these conventions. Our studio hosted this convention so they came and did it just for us. It's a great opportunity for the kids to have more personal interactions with the teachers and they also get rewarded with quite a few scholarships.
Brooklyn-Neovate scholarship and also her trio was the winner of the teen collaborative concept challenge
Brynlee-improv runner up, her duo was the winner of the junior collaborative concept challenge, and she is the newest junior APPRENTICE!!! (Yes I cried when they announced Brynlee's name. Last year she was the runner up at 3 different conventions, which is a huge accomplishment but also disappointing at the same time. It was neat to finally see her get to experience the joy that comes with getting the scholarship she was working toward.)
Brielle-Inspire Scholarship (Brielle has been the mini apprentice for the past 2 years but is now the youngest in the junior group. I know it will be hard for her to watch her sisters get to experience this upcoming year as an apprentice bc she loved it SO much, but it also gives her motivation to keep working hard in hopes of being able to do it again as a junior.)
Britney-the newest mini APPRENTICE!!! (I didn't think they would give this scholarship to 2 sisters at the same convention, but they did! They both killed it!)
I love how much these girls learn and grow through these conventions. They don’t always win something but they always walk away as better dancers and motivated to continue pushing themselves.
Congrats
girls!!!
*For anyone interested…apprentices are chosen at each of the Intrigue conventions that they do around the country throughout the year. At nationals in July they all go to Florida to compete against each other to become an assistant. The assistants travel with the convention and help assist in the classes.
