Kate’s Baby Shower

My best friend asked if she could host her daughter's baby shower at our house. She did a Winnie the Pooh theme and it turned out SO cute! 

 

Keon

Keon is my aunt Cindy's husband's son. He has a really rare disability which is close to the Andre the Giant syndrome. They don't know much about it nut continue to offer whatever care they can for him. Unfortunately late last year he was diagnosed with Leukemia. He spent months in the hospital and much of that time they weren't sure if he would survive. He finally made it home and continues to battle cancer. Celeste and I stopped by to wish him a happy birthday! He was glowing with excitement and it was fun to see him smiling again. 

 

Painting Josh’s Office

With Josh switching careers he needed his own office. Which means we have to decorate it. He's bugged me about it for months but this is definitely not something I'm good at. So we asked Chris Boardman to help (she helped design my house) and she came and gave us her recommendations which included painting the walls. Brooklyn and I didn't really know how to do it but we just went for it. Probably not the best job but we got it done.

 

Art of Movement - Convention

One of our favorite conventions! And what made this one even better was that all 3 girls are assistants! They got to perform in the opening and closing shows and assist the teachers in all the classes. It's a different side of competing and they thrive in this role. I love that it teaches them how to be professional and how to help all the dancers in the classes.

Minerette Auditions

With Brooklyn ending her time as a Minerette, it only means one thing...it's time for another one to start. Brynlee has been looking forward to this day for 3 years. She has watched Brooklyn live her best life and has been waiting to be able to have those experiences. Brooklyn was really cute and gave her a good luck basket and she was off to tryout! It was fun having Brooklyn be a part of auditions since she is a senior so she kept me updated throughout. Of course Brynlee killed it. She was born to do this and has worked hard to be ready. And she was. I heard from multiple people inside that audition room that Brynlee was the favorite and looked good at everything she did. We all headed to Bingham to wait in our cars until the list was posted on IG. She made it!!!! They took 39 girls which was more than 10 girls more than they had last year! Lots of tears were shed...Brooklyn sad. Brynlee happy. Such a roller coaster our family is experiencing! We can't wait for next year to start!

 

St. Patrick’s Day

Lucky the Leprechaun really outdid himself this year! He left a trail all over the yard and a really yummy treasure!
