Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve at the Ericson's. We had a great dinner and enjoyed the time relaxing with everyone. They kids were excited to get their new pj's:
We didn't stay long bc we had SO much to do! We got home and the kids easily went to bed as they were full of excitement for Christmas morning.

Christmas Sunday

I wasn't going to do Christmas dresses this year, but when I was in Kid 2 Kid they happened to have 2 matching dresses hanging there in Brooklyn and Brynlee's sizes. I went ahead and bought them and started searching online for a matching dress for Brielle. I found one on ebay and ordered it, even thought it's a 24 month dress and she's only 8 months. Luckily, I didn't have to make any adjustments besides rolling up the sleeves. The photo shoot we quickly tried was not the most successful, but that's what you get with 4 kids!

Happy Cast Off Day!!!

Brooklyn has been SO excited to get her cast off. The day finally came and we headed out to Primary Children's to meet with her surgeon. The x rays looked great and they quickly started cutting away the cast.
After the cast came off it was time to pull out the pins. They asked if I wanted to watch, and since I was curious I said yes. I've never had a problem with blood or anything like that so I never thought I would have any issues. They pulled the huge pins out and then I started talking to her surgeon. I started getting light headed, which was making me mad, so I sat down (while still holding Brielle) and continued talking to the doctor. My whole body started going numb, which was still making me mad that I couldn't control it, so I finally set the baby on the floor and told them I wasn't feeling well. Luckily I set the baby down in time to black out. The nurse and surgeon caught me, had Brooklyn hop off the table, and had me lie down on the table. Awesome. I was SO embarrassed! I have NEVER done that before. I never even get queasy when I see blood or needles. They said it happens ALL the time when the pins are pulled out, especially watching your own child. So once I was feeling better they got Brooklyn wrapped up and we were on our way!

Brewer Family Christmas Party

Every year my grandma has a family Christmas party with a talent show. I'm always expected to play the piano, but this year I decided to change it up a bit. The kids have not stopped singing Jingle Bells all month, so I borrowed some bells and they sang it for everyone. They were seriously SO cute and I was beyond proud of them.

Happy Cast Off Day!!!

We've been counting down the days to when Brooklyn could get her cast off. She was SO excited! We all headed down to Primary Children's and I dropped Brayden and Brynlee off at the kids area. Brooklyn did great. They cut off her cast then pulled out the pins that were in her elbow. Randomly, it must've been a little hard for me to handle bc about 3 minutes after they pulled the pins out I got light headed and past out. It was really weird and I've never gotten woozy before. Luckily I was able to put the baby on the floor and sit down before I blacked out. So crazy! N-e way, now Brooklyn has to be super careful while her arm continues to heal.

Thanksgiving Point Lights

We headed down to Thanksgiving Point with the Scott's to drive through the lights. We stopped in Draper for dinner and made the mistake of not taking the kids to the bathroom before we headed to TP. We dropped off their truck and all piled in our van. The kids all loved being in the back with the seats down. The line was A LOT longer than we anticipated. We waited for about half an hour before we made it to the entrance. Every single kid at some point cried bc they had to go potty. Brynlee, being the youngest (besides babies) was not going to make it. I ended up putting a diaper on her and letting her go...kind of awkward in a car full of people. After the lights we went to see the reindeer and get hot chocolate and ice cream. It was a lot of fun and hopefully this now is a yearly tradition with the Scotts (we've gone 2 yrs now)!

Ward Christmas Party

We had a lot of fun at the ward Christmas breakfast. We ate breakfast, sang songs, and of course visited with Santa.
This is when things started getting interesting. We were hoping Brynlee would be able to do Santa this year, but it didn't happen. Here she is watching him come in the doors:
Not happy about it:
Brayden was very excited to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. For some reason Brooklyn started getting shy and having issues, which didn't help Brynlee. So after Brayden we took our chances with Brielle:
We finally made Brooklyn stand by him and handed Brynlee, kicking and screaming, to Santa. He was such a good sport. It's all about the picture...
