Off to Chicago for another Intrigue convention! And thank heavens we made it bc we almost didn't. Our first flight to Phoenix was delayed half hour, which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but our layover in Phoenix was only 25 min so we missed our flight to Chicago. We knew in Salt Lake that we were going to miss our connecting flight but they said it would be better for us to go to Phoenix bc there were more options of getting to Chicago. We got to Phoenix and immediately got put on the standby list for the 7:00pm flight. Nope. So they put us on standby for the 11:30pm flight. Meanwhile, they booked us on a flight to Dallas hoping we would have more options in the morning of getting to Chicago. Well that flight kept getting delayed so our options were dwindling. I talked with the desk agent every 30 min trying to find something. I happened to look up flights on my phone and found a flight going to Boston, then connecting to Chicago and there were 2 seats left. So the desk agent and I decided that was the most likely scenario to get us to Chicago since Dallas was a mess canceling flights bc of weather. So off to Boston we went on a 6 hr red eye, then a 3 hr flight to Chicago. We finally made it to Chicago at 9:30am...after 19 hours since walking into the first airport. It took us 3 planes and 11 hours of fly time to make it. But we made it!
It was another great weekend! There were a lot of assistants at this convention so Britney was living her best life. She loves them all SO much and will be so sad when it's all over. It was fun to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with everyone and Britney was shocked that Lucky the Leprechaun knew where she was and left a treasure for her!
