Apparently the emails I had been getting for Reflections had been going to my junk email, so I had no idea Brynlee had won at the district level. I hadn't heard anything so I emailed the PTA rep and she let me know that Brynlee had moved on to the Region level and was invited to attend the awards ceremony, which means she had won 1st or 2nd! We got stuck in traffic on the way and ended up being 4 min late. Of course dance was the first category announced, and we missed hearing her name by about 90 seconds. Luckily they were great and re-announced her once they knew we were there. And that's where we found out she won 1st! She moved on to state!!! We found out later that she took second place at state! We couldn't believe it! One spot away from going to nationals...maybe next year! There isn't a ceremony for 2nd place, so this was the last time she was recognized. Good job this year Brynlee!
