2 weeks ago we were heading out the door for church when Josh went outside to feed the turtle real quick. He came in panicking bc something had attacked Speedy. It turned out a couple of rats got him and chewed off 1 leg and severely bit another. Josh was traumatized as were we all. The next day Josh took him to the vet to get stitched up and we've been caring for him ever since. When we got home from the cabin we were sad to find that Speedy didn't make it. The kids were really upset. Josh took him outside and buried him in his little area he stayed in during the summer. Brynlee has been really sad and we often find her outside next to where he's buried. Breaks my heart.
