More Visitors

Everyone continues to be in love with little Britney. We have loved all the visitors and the kids are loving holding her as much as I'll let them.

Christmas Lights

Last year we left the Christmas lights up all year bc we didn't want to take them down. Unfortunately a few of the strands were falling down so we decided to just take them all down. We can see why the guy that put them up really struggled...Josh was pretty scared as he took them down. To get the rest of them they had to put our extension ladder in the bed of the truck and climb up that way. I couldn't watch...I sent the kids outside with the camera instead.

Visitors

Justin and Ali brought their kids over to visit and to bring dinner. It was fun to let all the kids play and relax with them.

Britney Ann Ericson - Going Home

We relaxed all morning, had lunch, then packed up and left! It was another great hospital stay. As we pulled up to the house my mom was on the porch with all the kids to welcome us home. It was so fun to see how excited they all were. They made signs and banners and couldn't wait to meet their little sister.

We were mostly surprised with Brielle. To her Britney was just a little doll. She went right up to the carseat and tried to take her right out. As soon as I got her unbuckled Brielle came up and took her with a big bear hug. Then she wouldn't let go. It was SO cute and funny. The kids all took turns holding her...again Brielle had to hold on to her and wouldn't let go. We couldn't stop laughing.

Britney Ann Ericson - Day 2

Is it bad that I consider the 2 days in the hospital a vacation?! I love the quiet, no stress atmosphere where I just get to cuddle my baby, spend time with Josh, and recover. I felt great and enjoyed every minute of it. There wasn't enough time to bathe Britney yesterday, so we finally got around to it today. It's always fun watching them do it in our room.
Josh's mom and Rachael were able to come and visit us tonight. They've been trading off watching the kids and working and appreciate all their help SO much!
They always do a couples dinner. It wasn't very good this year, but what do you do?!

Britney Ann Ericson

The day is here!!! It's been a very enjoyable last pregnancy for me. I have tried to enjoy every minute of it, knowing that this is it! It started coming too fast and I wasn't ready emotionally for it to be all over. But then the baby dropped really low, super early, in my tummy so I was quite uncomfortable for the last 3 weeks. Monday morning we got up, got ready and headed out! Rachael slept at our house so she could watch the kids while we were gone.
My babies always have come SO fast, but this one took her sweet time. We thought for sure she would make her entrance by noon, but we were wrong! Of course it was our nurse that took her time. She was in no rush and even when the dr. said to up the pitocin she wouldn't do it. The dr. FINALLY got mad at her and told her to up the pitocin and then we finally got going. So we had been stuck at a 4 for a couple of hrs, then made it to a 5. 20 minutes later we were at a 10 and ready to push! Like all the other kids, she popped right out in less than 1 contraction (I think I pushed twice). I asked for a mirror with this one and so I was able to watch it all. It was AMAZING! I'm sad I didn't do that with all of them. I loved adding that to this experience. I can honestly say that I got everything out of this labor and delivery that I needed to to be able to have closure and not have any regrets moving forward (yes...I know I'm weird. I just really love being pregnant and having babies so it's been hard to close that chapter of my life.) N-e way...here she is! Britney Ann Ericson. (Ann is after my aunt, Cindy) 5lbs 14oz. 19" born at 3:26. In love!
 With our amazing Dr. Later
After we got moved to our recovery room my parents stopped by, followed by Josh's dad and Michael and Natalie. Kids aren't allowed yet in the hospital, so we had to FaceTime with the kids.

Pedicures

And then there were 2 days left before the baby was to come! We spent most of the day Saturday doing random stuff to get the house ready. I tried to get everything I needed done so I didn't have to stress. I had forgotten that getting a pedicure was on my list, but at the last minute I remembered so I grabbed the girls and we headed out. They loved soaking their feet and watching the little shows that they had playing. I didn't get a picture of our toes, but they looked great! Now...I can have a baby :)
