Josh and I had to leave for Lake Powell today so we missed the Bingham awards ceremony for seniors. Josh's dad and Brayden's girlfriend Ruby went with him instead. We thought it was just for the academic awards bc he is graduating with a 4.0, but then they called his name for a specialty award! They only had a couple awards for the entire athletic program and out of all the male athletes at Bingham he received this award. It was so hard not being there to see him receive the award. As soon as his name was called I had a bunch of texts from friends that were there that sent me pics of Brayden Here is what they said about the award:
"Our next award is the Tony Stilinovich Miner Pride Award. It is named in honor of Mr. Tony Stilinovich. Tony was a 3 sport athlete and student body president of Bingham High School in the 1960's. He was known for his positive demeanor and compassion for the less fortunate. This award is given to student athletes who have demonstrated the quality of always placing their teammates first. These students may not be in the limelight but they make significant contributions to the success of their teams through leadership and example."
We are so proud of Brayden! Even though it was a rough year with basketball he still showed up, worked hard, and inspired all those around him. Brayden also earned the Presidential Education Achievement Award as well as was ranked in the top 10% academically.
