New Car!!!

I've spent about 2 months looking for a new SUV that would be a good fit for our family. I did a lot of research and we decided on a Yukon Denali, the shorter one, with 8 seats. I knew it would be hard to find but thought I'd try anyway. I started calling all the dealerships in Utah with very little luck so I expanded my search to the nearby states. For the record...Utah has a much smaller inventory than paces like Arizona and California. I probably called about 20 dealerships and had my name written down at most of them. I would say about 7-10 salesmen were diligent in looking for me and texted me updates every few days. Well I found a lot of good 2nd place options, but was still holding out for what I wanted. We decided that we would also be ok with a Toyota Sequoia so I started calling Toyota dealerships. I happened to call one in Murray last Saturday and was connected with an awesome salesman. He asked if I would be open to a Tahoe bc they had just gotten a practically new one traded in down in Provo. I was a little hesitant bc I didn't do much research on Tahoes, but the salesman was willing to drive down to Provo to pick it up for us so we could go test drive it in the little time that we had. So I did a cram session on Tahoes and asked around and turns out everyone has good things to say about the Tahoes, and they are practically the same as the Yukons. We went and test drove it and fell in love with it (which isn't hard considering what we've driven for the past 15 years.) We bought it on the spot...it only had 9,000 miles on it, was used by the manager of the dealership trading it in for a newer one, and is the top of the line with all the upgrades. We paid for the entertainment package and tinted windows so we had to leave it there for a few days, but today I was able to go trade our van in and pick it up! They gave us $900 for our minivan. That's how bad our van is. I'd say that's a little bit of an upgrade. Only Brooklyn and Brynlee knew we bought it so it was fun to surprise the rest of the kids with it in the garage. Apparently I have taken pics of it yet so I'll have to upload some later. It's so pretty! Merry Christmas to us!
