Cancun - Day 6 (Church, Resort)

Can we just pause for a moment and notice that not one kid on this trip is sunburned!!! I brought a TON of sunscreen and we had to buy more once we were here. I have been diligent in spraying the kids constantly so our trip doesn't get ruined by getting burned.

Anyway, Sunday was the perfect day to be resting all day. We met the sweetest lady that works at the resort and quickly found out she is a member of our church. It was fun to chat with her every day and get to know more about her and her family. She invited us to church with her, which we had wanted to do anyway, so we got ready and headed out to find the chapel. Thanks to google maps we had a quick 20 min walk in the rain and easily found it. The problem, however, is that we were hoping to catch the 1:00 sacrament meeting and as we approached the chapel we saw lots of missionaries scattered around walking away from the chapel. It didn't take long talking to them to realize that it was stake conference and it ended at noon. Crap. I can't even count the number of times that has happened to us. Such a bummer! We talked to the missionaries a little bit and headed to the chapel anyway. Guess who showed up in a taxi as we got to the church? Claudia! She had forgotten it was Stake Conference and was headed for the 1:00 meeting as well. It was fun to talk to her and other members for a little bit, then we headed out to make the trip back to the resort. It stormed most of the afternoon so we stayed inside and did some crafts, played games, and relaxed. We don't typically swim on Sundays, but we were all dripping from the humidity after the rain that we jumped in for a few minutes at the end of the night. We wanted to eat at the Italian restaurant again but it was an hour wait. So we walked down the shopping area while we waited. Such a perfect day! And yes...Britney loves to pose for the camera.
