California Day 9 - Shopping/BYU Game

I couldn't believe that I didn't take any pictures today! We headed to the mall in the morning so we could go to the Disney store. We've always let the kids pick stuff out here so we don't have to buy them any of the overpriced items in Disneyland. It was fun letting them look at everything and decide what they wanted to get. My other BIG goal at the mall was to find Brooklyn a baptism dress. When we hung out with the Bloxham's last Sunday Syd had mentioned she would love to take Brooklyn's baptism pictures at the LA Temple! What?! That would be SO cool! Of course I didn't have a dress, shoes, or anything! I spent the week calling around trying to find a place with white dresses and had no luck. I was going to just order one off of Amazon and have it shipped to the house but never did. Right by the Disney store was a Flower Girl dress shop! I couldn't believe it! They had hundreds of dresses, and SO many white ones! It was fun for Brooklyn to try on a bunch...ironically they were the same dresses I was going to order from Amazon! We even picked the one that was my favorite online. It was gorgeous! They even made me a halo on the spot that matched the dress. We found shoes and jewelry too and we were set!

After lunch at the mall we headed back to the house for naps. The older kids swam all afternoon and then we all watched the BYU/Utah game. Too bad they lost. The guys were pretty bummed out the rest of the night. After the kids were in bed Natalie and I ventured out and found a great little ice cream shop where we got shakes. Such a fun and relaxed day!
