Last Night

Instead of going to bed early we decided to play games all night. It was a lot of fun and we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. After the games we knelt for our last family prayer and that's when we all lost it. Josh was emotional as he prayed which set the rest of us off. We all cried and hugged. After the girls went to bed Brayden gave me a wonderful and special blessing. It was a really neat experience to have the night before he left. After that Brayden and I played one last game of speed then headed to bed. 

 

Top Golf

Not sure why we haven't done this more as a family since Josh has a membership and we don't have to pay to golf. But here we are. It was a fun last activity to do as a family.

 

Packing

I had to take a pic bc I was loving how organized and pretty everything looked all packed up. It probably won't look this good throughout the rest of his mission but at least it all started out this way!

 

Last Lunch

I'm not liking all of these "lasts." It is getting harder and harder. We had to get one last Costa Vida run in and it was fun to be together one last time. 

 

Hoco Poster

These kids are so creative. Brooklyn got asked to Homecoming by a kid she didn't know but is excited to go with. This is how she responded.

Rachelle and Kalila came over to give Brayden a special gift. She had a tie clip made with a little butterfly engraved on it so he could carry Samantha with him throughout his mission. It was a really tender moment and meant a lot to Brayden. 

 

Brayden September Pics

Brayden sends us an email and pictures every week. I'll print out a book of his mission, but want to make sure I include pics in our blog/family journal. These are a few pics from the MTC in Mexico. Overall he was pretty bored and didn't love his time there but he is pushing through it.
