First Day of School

Down to just 4 kids going to school! It's weird and sad to not be taking pics of Brayden and also weird to have only one kid in elementary school. But the girls were excited ish to start another year.

Brooklyn’s Birthday

Nothing like having tons of leftovers from the boating retreat and the farewell to be able to serve all the Minerettes for Brooklyn's birthday! They all came over after practice to swim, lay out, and eat. We did Olive Garden for dinner and Menchies for dessert. We sure love you Brooklyn!

 

Brayden’s Farewell

Time is going by too fast right now. I'm glad that Brayden doesn't start home MTC for another week bc we need the time to finish getting him ready! We've been out of town all summer so thank goodness we have been able to buy most everything on Amazon. Brayden did a wonderful job speaking at church. He spent a lot of time on his talk and it felt more like a returned missionary than a missionary leaving. I played my medley, and although it's one of the hardest experiences I've had it was special and very sacred to me. All the girl cousins have been working on a song and they also were able to sing it. It was beautiful. The spirit was strong and the chapel was packed. Such a special day for such a special boy. We didn't get many pics but the house was FULL afterwards. We had one of Josh's restaurants make breakfast burritos for us and it was nice not to have to cook any food. I'm glad we set up food and tables in the basement bc they were packed with people too!

 

Brayden’s Farewell Set up

We had the house set up for the Minerette retreat so it was nice to leave it up for Brayden's farewell. We haven't ever moved the couches in the basement and set up tables but it worked out great and provided a lot of extra seating for people. I love how everything turned out and even though I stressed about the centerpieces they turned out great!

 

Minerette Boating Retreat

As part of the Unity Retreat we take the Minerettes boating. We had 5 boats and headed up to Jordanelle and spent the day with them. It was a little chilly but warm enough they all had a lot of fun!

 

Minerette Unity Retreat

He had all the Minerettes over for the unity retreat. It was a glow theme and the moms did a great job putting it all together. The girls had a blast!
