Christmas Before Pics

One of my favorite parts of Christmas is the time after Santa has come but before the kids have woken up. I love sitting in the silence thinking about the day that is about to command the excitement the kids went to bed with. It's also a time for me to reflect on my Savior and the peace His spirit brings into our home. Words can't ever describe what it feels like to be so overcome with gratitude during these moments I have every year. I'm grateful for my kids, for Josh, and most importantly Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for us.

Christmas Eve

We always spend Christmas Eve at Josh's parent's house. We had a nice dinner and were able to watch a few spiritual videos to get ready for Christmas. We normally bring pj's for the kids to open but this year the girls talked me into getting matching pajamas a few weeks ago (they've been wearing them to their Christmas parties) so all wore them there...it was much more comfortable then getting dressed up for dinner! I made sure we snapped a few pics in our pjs before the kids headed to bed!

Geronimo!

We had to get ready for Christmas and people coming over so it was time to clean up the mess the elves made. The girls loved running and jumping through all the crepe paper. It only took minutes to get it all cleaned up!

Christmas Adam

With Josh having the flu all week we didn't have any plans for tonight. So I asked the kids what they wanted to do and they all said they wanted to go to dinner then play games. We went to Culvers for dinner and ice cream then headed back home and played games the rest of the evening.

Friend Party

Josh is still sick so we headed to the Tucker's house without him. We had a yummy breakfast, hung out, and the kids went sledding. We hit a couple of stores along the way home as we are trying to finish up everything for Christmas!

Brooklyn’s Friend Party

Brooklyn has had a Christmas party with her school friends planned for weeks. They all came over for pizza, went to Walmart to get stuff for gingerbread houses, the spent 3 hours in pairs working on them. I couldn't believe they were up til midnight working on them! They were very creative and they were each very different. After they finished they set up their beds in the gym and I'm assuming they were up for most of the night hanging out.

Elf Shenanigans

Occasionally the elves have a little too much fun! The girls were shocked when they finally found them and what they had done to the play room. They are already talking about how much fun it will be to break through it all when they have to clean it up.
