Brielle's 7th Birthday

Happy Quarantined Birthday Brielle! It's a very strange experience trying to plan a birthday while quarantining. I tried to figure out how to make it special and I had to get really creative. Luckily our friend allowed us to go over and use their pool all afternoon. It was perfect! It was great weather and the kids had a blast. Josh was able to do his work while we watched the kids swim and it was good for all of us to be outside feeling somewhat normal for once. For dinner Brielle wanted IHOP, but of course all the restaurants are closed. Luckily IHOP had curbside pick up so I was able to get Brielle her cupcake pancake. Brielle opened up her presents, of which she got an electric moped! All the girls have wanted one of these for years, and Brielle was the lucky one to get it. They all enjoyed riding it around the neighborhood. To finish the night off Brielle wanted s'mores instead of a cake, so we relaxed around the fire and roasted s'mores. Despite the circumstances we had a wonderful day!

Games!

Thank goodness these girls have each other during this Covid era. They play, play, and play all day everyday. I love seeing all of them have so much fun together.

Drive-by Mondays - Eggs!

This week we were supposed to hide eggs in and outside of the house. We dug out our plastic eggs from the shed and the girls had a lot of fun placing them all over the yard. We drove around and loved seeing all the eggs all over the neighborhood.  I think they had just as much fun cleaning them up!

General Conference

We normally go to the cabin for conference, but since we are working round the clock on the house we didn't have time for it. Josh and I both had pretty significant experiences throughout this conference and we both went away impacted greatly. Sunday morning we watched together and all participated in the Hosannah shout. It was touching to be together as a family doing something that has never been done before. We were uplifted, inspired, and finally felt hope in such an unsettling time.

Up On The Housetop...

Getting the house ready to sell is no joke. It's exhausting and is taking help from everyone. The kids went on the roof to help Josh clean out the gutters. I don't like watching them up there so I came out only to snap the pictures then I was quickly back working inside.

Digital Online Learning

Some days it's at a desk. Some days it's in their beds. And some days it's in the family room. We are doing our best and the kids are killing it!

Air Soft Guns

There isn't much to do these days so the kids are having to get creative. Once these boys started pulling out their air soft guns they couldn't get enough of it. Masks, running around hiding, and shooting each other became the best quarantine activity where social distancing was actually possible.
