Dance Competition - Aspire (Solos)

It's SO nice that the kids are off track right now. We were able to spend yesterday getting ready for another competition. This was the first one for Brielle and the first one for the girls' solos!!! We headed up to Ogden early in the morning bc Brynlee had her solo at 11:30. She did great!!! They were ahead of schedule and we didn't know that, so we made it out of the dressing room to go backstage with only about 5 min to spare.  Oops. But she handled it well and danced beautifully! We headed to our favorite restaurant...IHOP for lunch. The girls filled up on all sorts of yummy food, then we headed to the hotel to check in and relax for a little bit. Apparently my brother's company own the Marriott in Ogden and was able to get us a hotel room for only $40! It was SO nice to stay the night up there instead of go home and go back super early in the morning. We made it back to the competition for Brooklyn to do her solo. She also did a great job! I love watching the girls dance and the confidence they get by doing solos. After the awards we grabbed Rylee from the train station (she is hanging out with us for the night and coming to the competition tomorrow), then we headed back to the hotel so the girls could go swimming! We finally made it to the room and the girls crashed for the night!

Britney's Birthday Party

I typically don't do parties for kids turning 4, but Britney has talked about having a bday party for weeks! So I decided to turn our off track Classic outing into a birthday party for her. I made sure her 2 neighbor friends were able to come with us as well as a bunch of friends for my other kids. We played, ate lunch, and gave Britney a bunch of presents. We sang happy birthday and had donuts! It was a lot of fun!!!

Super League Champions

Another league, another championship. The boys played hard and did a great job! Of course this was a pretty easy league, which is fun but gets frustrating at times. If the boys aren't challenged then they can't get better. Hopefully the next couple of leagues we are starting will be harder!

Dance Competition - Intrigue (Team)

This was our first convention! Conventions are very different than competitions. They still compete their dances, but they also have 2 days full of master classes. It's exhausting but SO much fun. The girls learned a lot and did great with their teams. Brynlee was selected out of the big group of mini dancers to receive one of the scholarships! She was SO excited and we couldn't believe it! Good job Bryn!

Dance Competition - Thanksgiving Point (Solos)

The girls did their solos at this competition last year and we really liked it. Empower teams don't come to it, so it was just us and the Jensens. It's a cheaper competition and easier, so we treat it like a dress rehearsal. It was fun to see their solos in costume on stage, and it's nice to get the judging sheets to see what changes need to be made for the bigger competitions. Brooklyn and Brynlee both got first place marks! So they were really excited...they all danced great!

Valentine's Day

We love Valentine's day! I tried a few new things with the girls' hair and I love how they turned out! The kids had fun at school with their class parties and brought home plenty of treats. I've been waiting to give them their squishmallows that I bought weeks ago and they all loved them! We finished the night off with some chocolate fondue. Josh and I will celebrate another night...without kids.
