Christmas Eve

We always spend Christmas Eve at the Ericson's. We had a yummy dinner and enjoyed being together. Michael and Natalie brought some game where you have to try a jelly bean and you aren't sure if it will taste like a real jelly bean or like something horrible, like vomit. It's awful, but the kids got a kick out of it. Some of them tried them and it was pretty hilarious to see their reactions. We spent some time watching the nativity videos as well as other Christmas videos. The kids opened their pjs and we quickly hurried home so they could get to bed! They were all excited to have a big sleepover so we set it all up and put them to bed!

The Kumar Family

This year we volunteered to provide Christmas for a refugee family. We had no idea how hard yet rewarding it would be. Josh and I stopped by their apt a couple of times and visited with them and quickly realized their needs exceeded what we had expected. Luckily we have many family and friends that jumped in and helped us organize, buy, wrap, and deliver more than we could've imagined. They were originally from Sri Lanka, but fled their country and ended up in a refugee camp in Thailand. Then they were relocated here. They are members of the church and we loved being able to visit with them. It was humbling to take our family with us to deliver all their Christmas gifts, cleaning supplies, blankets, coats, food, etc. I hope we can all remember the spirit that was with us as we filled their apt and listened to them share their story with us. I was touched and will always remember the time we spent with them.

Brewer Family Christmas Party

We headed back to my parent's church for our Brewer family Christmas party with my immediate family. We set up bounce houses, brought scooters, basketballs, and just played all night! Josh got baked ziti trays from Pizza Factory for dinner and it was delicious! We exchanged gifts as well and just enjoyed being with each other.

Pendleton Family Christmas Party

Saturday morning we got together with my mom's side of the family for our annual Christmas breakfast. It was fun to see everyone and hang out with them for the morning!

Brewer Extended Family Christmas Party

I'm not sure why I don't have pictures of my kids at this party, so hopefully I'll find them and add them later. But I had a picture of Justin and Ali's family! It was a fun party as always! This year for our talent the girls did Britney's dance with her and then tumbled to the rest of the music "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." It was really cute...especially to see little Britney performing with the bigger girls!

Friend Christmas Party

Our insanely busy week continues! We hosted our annual friends Christmas party and had a blast! We had chicken enchiladas for dinner as well as quesadillas for the kids. We had a boys table, a girls table, a little kids table, and a table for the adults. It's fun to see how much the kids grow year to year. Of course I forgot to take the picture of all the kids together. Oh well. The kids all played and destroyed my house, lol, but it was a blast as always!
