Brayden's Birthday Party

Back when Brayden turned 10 he wanted a Nerf party like the year before. I tried to book the church but it was already booked with Christmas parties through the end of the year. So I told Brayden we would plan his party in January. Of course January came and we just got too busy, then Brayden decided he wanted a bball party. When I found this place had opened up nearby and suggested it to Brayden he hopped on board and we finally were able to plan his party! He invited 20 friends and they had a blast!

Easter

Having been out of town all week we kind of scrambled to get ready for Easter. Luckily I had the Easter dresses picked out before we went. We woke up early and got ready and went to church. The Easter Bunny came while we were at church, so when we got home the kids had fun looking for their eggs. We relaxed for the rest of the day then headed to the Ericson's for dinner.

Vegas Trip - Days 3 & 4

Friday morning we checked out of our condo and headed to Vegas. The boys dropped us girls off at a hotel and they headed to Brayden's first bball game. We put Britney down for her nap and while Brit slept I took the other girls swimming. The boys made it back and after a little quiet time we headed back out. This time I dropped the boys off at the ball tournament and went and grabbed dinner for the girls and headed to a park while we waited for them to be done. The girls loved playing at the park and it was SO fun to watch Britney chase all the birds. All she wanted to do was hold one...but she never did catch one. Lol.

After Brayden's game we thought it would be fun to take the kids over and walk down the strip. We walked through Excalibur and down to the M&M Factory. The kids were overloaded with SO much weirdness going on everywhere. We watched the little 3D M&M movie then walked over to see the Coca-Cola Bear.

Saturday morning Brayden and Josh headed back for Brayden's last bball game. I took the girls for a quick swim then we showered and got ready for the ride home. We packed up and got on the road!!! We stopped in St. George for a quick lunch then were able to drive the rest of the way home without stopping! It was great!!! Such a fun little trip!

Vegas Trip Days 1 & 2

So the plan was for me to take the girls to St. George for their dance competition last weekend, and Josh would take Brayden to Las Vegas for his basketball tournament this weekend. Josh's dad was going to go with them so he could drive while Josh did his work, but Kay ended up going in for surgery so that left no one to go with Josh. We found out Brayden's ball schedule on Monday and realized that he would be done on Saturday in time to be able to come home that night instead of Sunday. I was scheduled to play the piano in church so as long as we made it home in time we realized we could go as a family and made a little trip out of it. So Wednesday morning Josh headed out to get some work done while I packed up the kids. We met him in Provo at Zubs and ate lunch, then continued on our way! Josh and I were FINALLY able to enjoy the car ride bc the kids did great! We made it to St. George and checked into our condo at Green Valley.

Thursday morning we met up with some others from our ward that were down there. We headed out to Glitter Mountain. We had never heard about it but it sounded like it would be fun so we joined the party. We grabbed screwdrivers and buckets from Walmart on the way. It turned out to be a lot of fun. The kids were able to play on all the rocks and carve out some clear rocks. We headed to Teriyaki Grill for lunch then back to the condo for nap time and took the kids swimming. Thursday night we grabbed dinner, ate popsicles, and settled down to relax!

Elder Rasband

One of our young women leaders is Elder Rasband's cousin, so she was able to set up a time where we could take our youth down to meet him. We first walked around temple square then waited in the lobby for him to come down to shake our hands. It was neat for the kids to be able to shake his hand. He spent a few minutes sharing his testimony with us and overall it was a wonderful experience.
