District Reflections Awards

Both Brooklyn and Brynlee were invited to attend the awards for the district Reflections contest...that means they each got an award! Brooklyn got the award of merit, which is the runner-up, for her age group (3-5 grade)! She was the youngest in that age group so I was proud of her for winning the school contest and then getting runner-up! Congrats Brooklyn!

Brynlee was also the youngest in her age group of K-2 grade. I again was proud of her just winning the school contest, but then she surprised us all and won the Award of Excellence at the district level! That means she moves on to the region level! Good job girls! (Yes...Brooklyn was pretty upset that her little sis made it further than her. But she's a good sport and tried to be happy for her!)

Nicholas Christmas Party

Continuing with our crazy day...as soon as I got home from the concert i quickly got ready for Josh's company party. They've always done it downtown at a hotel, but this year they did it at the aquarium. It was neat to have dinner right in from of the shark tank and it was a fun change from the hotel atmosphere. They do all of the awards at this dinner, so it was neat to see Josh recognized for all his hard work. He will kill me for posting this, but he is their all time highest selling salesman! I'm so proud of him for working so hard this year and breaking so many records. After the dinner we ended up going to Leatherbys with Chad and Emily bc we weren't ready to go home yet! Thanks babe for a fun night!

David Archuleta Concert

I will have to see if I have any pictures on my phone, bc I didn't take any with my camera. After the Dicken's Festival I headed up to Ogden with Kay, Cinthya, and Rachel. We went to the Olive Garden for dinner where we met up with Jolynn, Sara, and Brandi. Natalie joined us as well. After a yummy lunch we headed over to the high school where David Archuleta was performing. It was amazing!!! I've never heard him sing live before and he didn't disappoint. Nathan Pacheco also performed and I loved every minute of it.

Brielle's Dance Performance

Brielle had her dance performance at the Dicken's Festival. Only the rec teams perform, so Brooklyn and Brynlee didn't have to dance. It was a crazy day and we only had time to watch her dance then we had to leave to get home so I could join the girl in laws for the David Archuleta concert in Ogden. Brielle did a great job and I was shocked she did most of the dance! Last year she struggled and just ran around. But she did great this time!

Brooklyn's Dance Team Party

We had a fun mother/daughter party for Brooklyn's dance team. We went to Gardner Village and ate a Archibalds, then the girls ran around doing the Elf scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun to meet the other moms and let the girls have fun together without having to dance!

Ward Christmas Party

We love Christmas parties! We better...bc we have 9 of them in the next few weeks. Our ward party was our first one of the season and the kids had a blast! It was nice to not be in charge of it this year, although Josh still helped with the food. There were fun things for the kids to do, a lot of good food, and of course Santa Clause! This was the first year in 10 yrs that we didn't have a kid screaming on Santa's lap! Brielle came close, but I consider it a total success!!!

More Snow!

The kids continue to love playing outside! And I love sending them out there...as long as they are out there longer than it took them to get ready I'm ok with that!
