Brynlee's Birthday Party

Brynlee REALLY wanted to do her birthday at the gymnastics gym, even though Brooklyn had just done hers there. So we reserved the gym and did it! It was a ton of fun and Brynlee loved every minute of it. We had about 20 kids there and they did not stop running around the whole time!

Maui - Day 7-8

It's always sad to leave to go home from a vacation. We have had such a fun and relaxing week, but we were gone long enough that we didn't feel like we had just gotten there. We went out for a yummy breakfast then had to check out of our rooms. Luckily they let us leave our luggage at the front and continue using the facilities for the afternoon. We hung out at the pool for a bit then Josh and I walked about 45 min down the beach. We walked to where we had snorkeled at turtle beach which was pretty cool. We didn't realize we were that close to it. After walking back and taking a last dip in the pool we were able to use the hotels hospitality room to shower and freshen up. We headed to the airport for our long red eye flight home. We had a 3 hr lay over in Seattle at 3am...that was NOT fun. It wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't SO cold. We both laid on the ground and tried to sleep but it was freezing so we were miserable. We finally made it on the next flight and made it home Monday morning. It is always hard to get home and have to be a parent again, but it was fun to see the kids and try to recover throughout the day. Aloha Maui...til next time!

Maui - Day 6

Saturday was such a fun day! We woke up early and headed to the other side of the island for a snorkeling excursion. We realized yesterday that we probably didn't need the excursion bc the snorkeling from the beach was just as amazing and SO easy to find turtles. But it was still fun to head out and do something. The boat was awesome, the crew was amazing, and the food was great! We sailed about an hour to the little Molaki crater. There wasn't much to see in the water, but I've never snorkeled in water that was so clear. I was shocked at how far you could see. The pics turned out awesome. After snorkeling about 20 min I turned around and Josh was getting back on the boat. I asked what he was doing and he had gotten so sick he had to get out. Matt was already back on the boat for the same reason. Lol. So Beth and I stayed out and snorkeled a bit more before joining them on the boat. Neither of us were an ounce nauseous, so it was fun to tease the boys. We then sailed to turtle beach and snorkeled around looking for turtles which was fun. We finally made it back to shore where the boys could begin to recover.  That night we headed over to a magic comedy show. It was totally random but Beth had heard good things about it so we went. It was hilarious! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The tricks they did were really cool and it made for a wonderful evening and a great last day!

Maui - Day 5

Friday was another day of relaxing and hanging out at the beach. This time we drove down to one of the more popular beaches called Big Beach. We rented snorkel gear for the day and found a great spot to snorkel. We saw quite a few turtles as well as many fun and colorful fish. On our way out of the beach we saw someone sitting next to a little roped off area where baby turtles had hatched the night before. It was really cool to see where they had hatched and made their way down to the water.
