Easter!

Easter was a lot of fun but was pretty stressful. I had to be to church by 10:30 to practice with my choir before we sang during sacrament meeting. Which meant we all needed to be ready to go and have our Easter egg hunt done by then. I know...10:30 is not that early. But for us it was cutting it pretty close. We decided to get everybody ready before the egg hunt. Here are the girls waiting:
 Checking out the Easter baskets:
Do you think someone likes Elmo???
The first egg Brynlee found broke open when she picked it up. She was naturally more interested in those jelly beans then finding more eggs.
 Family picture!
After church I tried to get a good kids picture. It did not go so well. Brayden couldn't keep his eyes open bc of the sun of the girls were not happy.
After lunch we tried again and after many tears this is what I got. Brynlee's mouth is full of jelly beans.
 My attempt at individual pictures:

We did nothing the rest of the day except relax and take it easy. Jair, one of Josh's friends, came to visit for the evening. Happy Easter!

Easter Bunny

The day before Easter we were able to go to my parent's clubhouse for their Easter egg hunt. The kids had a blast. Of course Brynlee was scared to death of the Easter Bunny. It was pretty funny. We got a few pics of the Easter bunny when he first arrived:
They had plenty of eggs and divided it into age groups. Brynlee knew exactly what to do and loved it.
Here are Brayden and Brooklyn waiting their turn very patiently:
And here is our classic Easter picture. Brynlee wasn't happy with me, but it was worth it:
After the egg hunt the kids got their faces painted:

Cabin

We decided to head up to the cabin one more time before the snow was all gone.  They opened the lower gate so we decided to drive up as far as we could then walk our stuff up the rest of the way. Unfortunately, both our van and Michael's car got stuck in the the snow. It took almost 3 hours to get them back to the parking lot. Not the way we hoped the weekend would start. We finally got everything up and settled and enjoyed the weekend. Josh's family came up Saturday night and Sunday morning. It snowed most of the day on Sunday and the kids loved it. We relaxed and played a bunch of games. We left Monday morning and headed home!

The Lottery

My mom called me up and said that she was going to pay for my sister-in-law to buy each family a lottery ticket. I laughed and asked if she was serious. I couldn't believe that she was actually going to do it. All she wanted was for one day to have each of her kids escape reality and dream for a bit. It worked. It really was fun to dream about having money and what we would do with it. I didn't want the pressure of picking the numbers, so I wrote all the numbers on paper and let the kids toss checkers on it to pick our numbers. Out of the 6 families, we were the only ones to get a number right!

Brooklyn's Grandparent Day

My mom took Brooklyn to school to see how great Brooklyn is doing. Brooklyn loved showing grandma all the fun things she does. She especially loved doing the karaoke.

Brayden's Grandparent Day

The kids had grandparent day at preschool. Josh's parents got to go with Brayden to see how well he is doing in school. He was SO excited to take them with him and show him everything. Thanks Kay and Steve for your support!

Field Trip

The kids had a field trip at Maceys. It was fun to see all the different areas of the grocery store.
