First Tub

It is SO nice to finally have a tub again. In our condo our tub was full of storage, so we haven't used it in years. The kids love taking tubs together and never want to get out. We are waiting on a part for the shower, so until it comes, Josh and I also have to take tubs. I am definitely converted. It's so nice to relax with the jets going.

We're In!!!!!

The day finally came. Friday night we stayed at the house really late cleaning, grouting, and making the final preparations to move in. May 2nd we made the big move. We had a lot of help from our ward to load up our U haul and had a lot of help from the new ward to unload it. I can't believe how much stuff we have. We were able to load the Uhaul, a huge van, and 4 cars and we aren't close to being done. (Close enough, though to get the rest later.) It was a lot of fun directing everyone where to put everything, although the rain made it challenging. We had half the guys inside with shoes off and the other half outside handing stuff off. It seems surreal that we are actually in and get to sleep here. I can FINALLY get the kids on a normal schedule again. We've been driving back and forth so much and getting home so late that the kids are all messed up. Here are the pictures before we moved in:

Here are the pictures after we moved in. Our bedroom, although this picture makes it look really small, is mcuh bigger:
Brooklyn's room:
Family room downstairs:
Living room upstairs:

Computer room downstairs:
We finally get a toy room!!! After everyone left Josh went back to the condo to get another load. So I decided to take the kids on our first walk around the neighborhood. It was awesome to be in a neighborhood and not on a busy street. I think we'll have lots of walks this summer.
The tub wasn't clean yet, so we had a great tub in the sink. The kids loved it, and it is much better in this sink than in the condo b/c here they each get their own side.

Carpet!

One of these days I'll update our house blog again. It's so close to being done. Well...the work will continue for months, but we are almost ready to move in. Today our carpet was put in the basement. It is amazing the difference it makes to have carpet. The kids had a blast. Upstairs it has been so dirty we've had to hold Brooklyn continuously and Brayden is completely bored of being upstairs not able to do anything. When I took the kids downstairs for the first time I couldn't believe how much fun they had. They've never had this much room to play in, even at the condo. It was fun to see the two of them start playing together. Brayden thought it was so fun to tackle Brooklyn. He would first push her over so she was laying down then he would snuggle her and give her hugs. I didn't take pictures of the bedrooms, but here are pictures of the family room and stairs.
If only we could keep it without any furniture. Then we could play soccer all day long!
Brooklyn liked to eat all the fuzzies, of course.

Lots of Randomness

With us being so busy with the house, our lives have been pretty crazy. Here are a bunch of random pictures that are too cute not to post. This first picture is how I found Brayden after I packed a bunch of boxes and put them in our entry closet. Brayden had been asking to paint every time we went to the house. So we finally gave him a brush and let him enjoy. He loved it. Of course he wandered a bit and painted walls that were already done so we had to touch them up. But it was worth it b/c it kept him busy for quite some time. Here is his masterpiece.

Brooklyn loves to chase Copper. Copper is so old, however, he doesn't move fast enough to get away in time. Poor dog.Drinking water like a dog. Not sure why...Helping mom paint baseboards.Helping dad stir the mud.Taking advantage of a distracted mom. They emptied the whole cereal container and ate most of it. I have a feeling the mischievous behavior is only beginning...Asking Uncle Dave a thousand questions while he scraped glue off the stairs.

Cousins

My brother Ryon and his family came down from Idaho for a few hours. They went to Ogden to pick up a trailer they bought and decided to stop by to see our new house (in progress.) It was fun to see them and their new little addition, Simon. Brayden always has so much fun when he gets to play with his cousins. Here Brayden is playing catch with Carson and Harry.

Our Easter

Because last weekend was so crazy, we never were able to do an egg hunt for the kids. I scored some awesome deals this week on Easter stuff, so it worked out great. On Sunday evening we hid the eggs and Brayden had a blast finding them all and opening them. Brooklyn also loved playing with the eggs and little toys.

Building and Packing

Here are a few random pictures of the Brayden as we continue to build and pack. The kids have been troopers as we have been spending a lot of time at the house. There isn't much for them to do at the house, so we have had to get creative. This picture is of the little fort I made for Brayden so he could watch his shows. He loved chillin' in it.Can you find Brayden? While we were packing I got out all the stuffed animals. He loved the Snoopy dog. The next morning when he woke up, he kept crying for "toothpaste." Josh couldn't figure out what he wanted, until he realized that the Snoopy dog looks like a neighbor's dog named Two-Face that Brayden always calls "toothpaste." Needless to say, Josh gave him the Snoopy and all was good again. This picture says it all. Brayden loves to watch grandpa and dad work, even when he is far past tired.
