Britney’s 10th Birthday

Sunday birthdays are always hard but it's fun to spend the day together celebrating. Britney had a great morning at church, spent the afternoon watching a movie with Josh, got a new bedroom, then we had the Ericsons over to celebrate. 

 

Drill - End of Year Banquet

I had a hard time trying to figure out how to be in two places at once. Britney and Brielle were competing their solos in Ogden the same day as Brooklyn's year end banquet. I ended up driving the girls up to the competition, watching Britney's solo, then I headed down to attend the banquet with Brooklyn. I asked some other dance moms to stand in for me to support Brielle and she did a great job! We were able to watch the livestream and she killed it. I'm glad I was able to be at the banquet for Brooklyn. It was a spec night celebrating these girls and the hard work they put in all year. 

 

Art of Movement

Art of Movement is a new convention that we have never done before and we absolutely loved it! They had a great staff, fun teachers, and awesome classes. Brynlee's solo took 3rd overall, duo took 1st, Brielle took 10th overall, and Britney took 3rd overall! They all killed it!

For the convention they all really enjoyed the classes. Britney was suppose to be in the mini room but it appeared to be too easy for her...they had it more like an intro to convention class. So we got permission for her to attend the junior room and do all the auditions with the juniors. That ended up being the best decision bc she absolutely killed it! They ended up splitting the juniors and they took the 10-11 year olds into a different room bc there wasn't enough room for them to all dance. Which meant that Britney totally stood out and crushed it. She was called out in every class and the teachers loved her. She ended up getting the top junior scholarship and also won the assistant position! She's the youngest assistant they've ever taken bc she is actually a mini auditioning with all the juniors. So ya she had a good weekend. Brynlee also made it through all the rounds of auditions and got a great scholarship!
