Britney’s Baptism

Our little Brit isn’t so little anymore! Britney chose to be baptized and bc of scheduling conflicts we ended up having everyone to our house last minute and she was baptized in our swimming pool. She was baptized by her brother Brayden, witnessed by Brielle and my aunt Cindy who Britney is named after, confirmed by Josh, Brooklyn and Brynlee gave talks, and Brayden and I played a piano duet. It was a neat experience that our family will always remember. And it was only fitting to have a pool party afterwards. It’s no surprise that Britney was the last one out of the pool after 6hrs lol.

Britney is such a light in our home and everywhere she goes. She has been blessed with a genuine love for other people and I learn so much from watching her just love everyone. She gives the best hugs and I got emotional watching everyone love her all day and all the hugs they shared. It’s a joy to be parents to such a special girl. Congrats Britney!!!

 

Lava Hot Springs - Day 4

We had planned on doing the Olympic pools earlier in the week but bc of the weather we pushed it off til today. We cleaned up and checked out of the house then headed to the pools. We had to exit the pools for an hour while a lightening storm went through, but other than that it turned out to be a great day. The kids loved jumping off the platforms, going down the slides, and hanging out. 

 

Lava Hot Springs - Day 2 & 3

The Petersons made it up to Lava Hot Springs and it has been a lot of fun. We had pockets of rain throughout the week so we had to adjust our plans accordingly. We hit the river and the kids absolutely loved it! So much that we went back on day 2 and did the river again. There was a little hot spring on the river and that became a favorite spot to stop and take a break from the river running and warm up a bit. We played games, had s'mores around the fire, ate out, got ice cream, and enjoyed the fun of being in a small town.

 

Lava Hot Springs - Day 1

Last week I joked with Karyn that we take the families to Lava Hot Springs for the last break the Minerettes have of the summer. Turns out we were all free so we booked a place and headed up north. We went up the night before Karyn's family was able to come so we checked into the house we rented and relaxed for the evening. We had been keeping a close eye on the weather and unfortunately it wasn't looking good. It rained most of the evening but we decided to head to the hot springs. We loved relaxing in the hot pools then headed back to the house for the night.
