St.George - Fam Days 1&2

Steve and our kids made it down to St. George around 6 so as soon as we got them unloaded we headed out to go to dinner. We enjoyed the evening playing games and hanging out in the beautiful house we rented. Saturday the Jazz had their 1st playoff game at 11, which was the same time as the NCAA gymnastics championships. So we had the boys downstairs watching basketball and the girls upstairs watching gymnastics. As soon as both of those were over we headed to the Pizza Factory for lunch. We were excited to see that Bill, the owner, was still there so we were able to sit with him and catch up. Steve and him have been friends for years and years. Steve sold him food for most of his career and through business they also became best friends. Early in our marriage every year Steve would give us all Pizza Factory clothes for Christmas that Bill gave him. Today was no different. Bill paid for our lunch then also sent all of us home with Pizza Factory shirts. He really is one of the nicest guys I've met. We finished the day relaxing and being together. Brooklyn, Brynlee, and I watched Miss Congeniality after the younger ones went to bed while we filled eggs and got a few things ready for Easter.

St. George - WFG

Josh had a work retreat in St. George and it turned out to be perfect timing to turn it into a family vacation. The retreat is Wednesday til Friday, which is when the kids start Spring Break. So my father in law agreed to bring our kids down to us and we spent almost a week in St. George with them.

We love the WFG family and really enjoy spending time with them. Don rented a beautiful place for the crew of 30 people that came. We left Wednesday morning and made it down without any trouble. We checked into the place and after getting settled had a good work meeting for the evening. Thursday we went to breakfast, then headed to the park to play kickball. They insisted that everyone play and I was surprised that everyone did in fact play! Most hadn't played kick ball since elementary school and it was definitely the highlight of the week. I definitely struggled with my back and ended up having to have someone run for me. We hung out for the afternoon, got pedicures, then got ready to go to the country club for dinner. We enjoyed the fancy dinner, the beautiful scenery, and the fun karaoke that started later in the evening.

Friday morning we sent most of the people home as we checked out of the house, then the 12 of us leaders went to meet with Monte Holm. Monte is one of the founders of WFG and it was a true honor to be seated so intimately around a table at his family office. We spent 2 hours with him then everyone headed home. We had Don and Alysia drop us off at our next place that we rented then they headed home. Josh and I enjoyed the afternoon while we waited for our kids to arrive to start out family vacation!

Twinners

I'm pretty sure that the only clothes I buy anymore are off Amazon or at Costco. Which means it's not uncommon to run into people with the same Costco clothes. My friend who teaches at our studio walked in and we both had on Costco sweatshirts, so naturally we had to snap a pic!

Goodbye Fernando

We have loved having Fernando around for the past 5 months. He is flying home to Mexico to renew his visa and spend some time with his family and friends then we plans on driving his car back here. I guess that means he has enjoyed being here if he is wanting to come back! We are excited already for him to get back and hang out with us again!

Celebrating Easter and Birthdays

We got together with the Ericson's to celebrate Easter and a couple of birthdays. Brielle's birthday was yesterday and my niece's 1st birthday is today! We had dinner, an egg hunt, dyed eggs, and opened presents.

BYU Ballroom Alumni Renunion

I wasn't sure if I would be able to participate in the BYU ballroom Alumni reunion so I never signed up for anything or bought any tickets. This week I decided I would regret it if I didn't make the effort to go to the breakfast so I went to buy a ticket and of course they were already sold out. I made a comment on someone's Facebook post about it and thankfully I did bc one of the girls I danced with back then is part of the ballroom staff and called me and told me to still come. I was SO glad that I did! It was fun to see so many people that played such a big part in my time there. I wish I had taken more pictures but I did manage to snap a few. I was sad that with my back issues I couldn't dance in the alumni dance number for their concert. It was also Brielle's birthday so I didn't feel good about being gone all day to participate in the concert or the dance party they had in the afternoon. But just being at the breakfast was amazing and brought back a lot of great memories.
