Spring Break Days 1-3

We've been looking forward to this trip for months! Josh hasn't had a day off of work for over a year, so it was about time to get away and have some fun. We rented a beach house in Newport Beach with 2 other families. All 3 families have 1 boy and a whole lot of girls. So there were 13 girls and 2 boys since one of the boys is on a mission. Brayden wasn't thrilled to be with all the girls and a 4 yr old boy so we let him bring his good friend Ian with him.

We left Saturday afternoon after Brayden finished his 2 bball games. We easily made it to Cedar City, ate dinner, then made it down to Vegas. We stayed in a hotel for the night and enjoyed sleeping in in the morning. We headed out around noon with the expectation of arriving in Newport in the late afternoon. Nope. The traffic was horrendous and added 3.5 hrs onto the drive. We couldn't believe how horrible the traffic was. We finally made it in the evening and crashed. It was fun to check out the 2 unit complex we rented and the kids were quickly running around having fun with the other kids.

Monday morning we headed to the beach! It was a chilly 65 degrees but the kids didn't seem to mind as long as they had their wet suits on. They spent hours boogie boarding and playing in the sand. After lunch they went to the beach for round 2. Once we got all the kids showered and fed the adults headed out for dinner.

Britney's Birthday Party

Britney has been counting down the days for her bday party for weeks! We knew we had to have a llama party and it ended up being so fun! 2 days before the party I contacted the llama owner we went and visited last week and he was able to bring Britney's favorite llama to our party! Not only did he bring a llama, he also brought 2 bunnies and a baby lamb! We spent the first hour taking pics with the animals, eating lunch, and doing crafts. The second hour we played games in the gym, watched a short 8 min llama cartoon, went on a llama hunt that ended up in the ball pit, ate donuts, and opened presents. It was a lot to fit into 2 hrs but we made it through and all 19 girls had a blast! Thanks to my girls and their friends that came to help...I couldn't have done it without you!

Brielle's Team Dinner

The mom's on 3 of my girl's dance teams switch off who brings the team dinner during their break (Britney never stays during a dinner break.) It's a new thing I started this year with one of our teams and it caught on and we all love doing it. With Covid they haven't had a microwave at the studio so it's been hard figuring out what to send them for dinner each week. So once every 2 months I bring dinner for each of their teams. This turn for Brielle happened to land on St. Patrick's Day so of course we had to go all out with the green food! Green pancakes, green eggs, green grapes, and donuts with green frosting. It was a great night and the girls all loved it!

St. Patrick's Day

Our little leprechaun came and left a maze and treasures for the kids. It's always fun to see how magical everything is for younger kids. Brielle made a trap but didn't catch him. She says she will try again next year!

Dance America - Day 2

We headed back on Saturday for the team competition. Both girls looked great in all their routines! Josh and Kay were both able to come and watch them dance. Again the girls wanted to stay and hang out all day. Their teams did great and got a lot of high awards! You'll notice that Britney tends to bounce around and is very loved by all the girls on all the teams. Before the awards our studio was jamming out to the music and Britney, of course, was right in the middle of it all!
