Brayden's Choir Concert

It's a good thing that Brayden has friends that wanted to take choir, or I don't know that he would've taken it on his own. But he loves to sing and has a great voice. His choir did a great job and I loved watching him!

Knee Surgery

Josh has had terrible knees for most of the last 20 years. They have progressively gotten worse and a few years ago he started seeing different doctors. Turns out his knees formed incorrectly and are more on the inside of his legs rather than the front. So over the years with how active he has been his knees have just grinded and grinded down to where there is little cartilage left. As if that wasn't painful enough, he continued to play basketball on them and tore the meniscus in both knees. He is still young for knee replacements, so his dr. wanted to go in and clean up the tears and smooth out the cartilage that is left. The surgery was in Park City so we drove up early in the morning. Of course Josh was doing his orders up until they wheeled him back. It was a quick surgery and after the anesthesia wore off I was able to drive him home. He should be in bed for 3 days with only getting up to use the restroom. Unfortunately his aunt passed and her viewing was the day after the surgery, with the funeral the day after that. So it was pretty rough, but we were able to borrow a wheelchair and he was able to make it through those 2 days. His knees were really swollen afterwards and it got pretty painful, but after the funeral he was able to take it easy and rest for the rest of the week. Until, of course, Brayden happened to be speaking in church on Sunday. So he struggled but made it to watch Brayden then I rushed him back home to bed. So much for resting!

Playing Games

It's always fun to see the kids playing together. With how much these 4 dance, there aren't a lot of times where all 4 of them are home together. But once in a while they find time to play a few games!

Dance Performance

Brynlee and Brooklyn's dance teams each performed one routine during West Jordan High School's dance company winter recital. It was a little rough, but fun to see their new routines on stage. We had to rush straight from Brynlee's choir performance and get her ready, but we made it with time to spare!

Brynlee's Choir Concert

Brynlee had her winter choir concert and did such a good job! She has been going to choir before school once a week all year and has really enjoyed it. She tried out for a solo and they picked her to do it! She did SO good and she got a lot of compliments afterwards. She did one performance in the afternoon for the school, then one performance in the evening for parents. Good job Bryn!

Festival of Trees

This year Cindy and I were in charge of the tree so we spent the year planning and buying all the stuff.  But let's be honest...Cindy does most of that. She is SO good at being able to visualize the tree and what we need for it. It always comes together turns out beautifully. This year our tree was called "Comfort and Joy." It was auctioned off for $3050! We enjoyed spending the day together and celebrating the short life Sammie had. I brought the girls over later in the day to see the tree and walk around since we are really busy this week and wouldn't be able to make it back.
