Cabin Trip - Days 3 & 4

So much fun! This has been a great cabin trip. It warmed up a little bit today so we headed down to the field and played some awesome capture the flag games. We did more crafts and just enjoyed relaxing and hanging out. The Boardman's had to leave today so it was sad to watch them go. We stayed one more night and enjoyed a quiet and peaceful Sunday together as a family before heading home. 

Cabin Trip - Days 1 & 2

Fall Break!!! We've been wanting to get up to the cabin one more time before we have to winterize it. The Boardman's joined us this time and we had a lot of fun! They have one boy and 3 girls so it was perfect for our kids. It was pretty cold outside, so we stayed in most of the weekend...which meant lots of crafts, games, and movies. I brought up a few new crafts this week which helped the girls stay entertained.

Brynlee's Baptism

We had a wonderful day celebrating Brynlee's birthday and baptism!! Not often do you get to be baptized on your birthday, but she did! Everything went as planned and we all enjoyed seeing Brynlee become the newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We played a little video slide show I made with all of Bynlee's baptism pictures as well as passed out notecards for everyone to write little note on. My kids also sang the song "I Will Be What I Believe" a that was a very special moment for us all. Congrats Bryn! It's great to be 8!

Brynlee's Birthday

After Brynlee's baptism Josh took Brayden to his basketball game.  I took the girls to see the movie Small Foot...it was really cute! We all got back together for chinese food for dinner (Brynlee's favorite) and opened presents. One of Brynlee's good friends was having her bday party tonight, so I gave Brynlee the option of going or not. She chose to go to the party. So we wrapped up her birthday festivities and she headed out to her party. Josh and I ended up going to the BYU game which was a lot of fun! Cold...but fun! Happy 8th birthday Bryn!!!

Quick Trip to the Cabin

We had lots of stuff going on Friday night and Saturday throughout the day, but Josh still wanted to head to the cabin to listen to conference. We invited Marc to bring his girls and let Brayden bring Luke, one of his ball teammates. We had a blast! The girls were more wild and crazy than normal, but they had a lot of fun with their friends up there. The girls highjacked my camera and took a lot of random pics...I picked a few of my favorites. 

Mission Reunion

Every couple of years my mission president and his wife fly into town and hold a reunion for all the missionaries that served under them. Of course Josh was at the BYU game so he couldn't come, but it was fun to drive down with one of my companions Leticia Wetzel. It was awesome to catch up with so many of our friends and share memories and stories from our mission. President Babbel wrote a book called "Mine Angels Round About You" that is full of stories from our mission. He gave us each a copy, and from the few pages I've already read I can tell this book will be very humbling and inspiring. Such a great night with such great people.
