3rd Grade Wax Museum

Brooklyn got to do the wax museum this year. She chose Princess Diana and it was fun for her to learn all about her and her life. And of course Brooklyn was SO excited to wear my crown at school. We were all a little surprised how much Brooklyn looked like Princess Di!

Cooking with the Beehives

The beehives are wanting to do a lot of cooking this year. So to kick it off we came to my house and they learned how to make german pancakes and apple nachos. The girls loved it and it was a lot of fun! We also worked on one of our projects for New Beginnings.

Claire Ryann

I was getting ready for our mutual activity and needed to distract the little girls for a little bit, so I pulled up a video I had recently seen on Facebook. Claire Ryan is this little 4 yr old girls that sings and her dad has made little production videos of her songs...mostly the iconic Disney songs. These little ones absolutely loved it and now are obsessed! Britney is always asking to "See the Light! See the Light!"...which is the Tangled song.

Cuddles with Cinthya

Britney loves to cuddle, and Cinthya loves to let her. It always warms my heart to see my kids loving her like their own big sis! We love having her here!

Coaching with Thurl

For Christmas Tobi asked if I wanted to split a one hour private coaching lesson with Thurl Bailey. Of course we weren't going to turn that down, and the day finally came where they got to have their lesson. It was fun to watch and see these boys play with an NBA player. Brayden did great and loved every minute of it!

Quick Cabin Trip

Randomly during church Amy Bloxham suggested we make a trip up to the cabin since Monday was Martin Luther King Day. It all happened so fast during church, but we decided we had no reasons to not just go for it! Of course it wasn't just that easy...Brayden had scout camp the next day so I had to arrange a place for him to stay. And the girls were planning on going ice skating with the Jensen's on Monday so they didn't want to go to the cabin. Luckily the Jensen's decided it would be fun to have them sleep over and would watch them on Monday so we packed everyone up, grabbed food from the freezers, and headed out! It was weird to go up with just the 2 little girls. Less bodies means less stress so it was a pretty laid back 24 hours! Amy and Mike brought their son Nate and his friend and we all had a blast snowmobiling and playing games. They loved playing with the girls, too, so that was awesome. Of course Cinthya loved being up there with us and even though it was cold she loved sledding and snowmobiling too!

Young Women's Winter Camp

This year we decided to do a winter camp (sleepover) with the young women and it was SO much fun! Friday night we headed up the canyon and went night sledding. It was dark, but a lot of fun. It was quite eventful to get my van out of the ice covered parking lot. But we managed to do it then headed down the canyon. For the rest of the evening we went over to the Johnson's home to watch the new Cinderella movie in their theater room. We first had a scripture sharing time, then settled down to watch the movie. After that we all headed down to the Stosich's home to sleep over. All but 2 of the leaders went home to sleep but came back in the morning. We made the girls french toast and ham for breakfast, had a tae kwon doe lesson, then headed up the canyon again to go snow shoeing. Not many of us had been before and it definitely won't be the last! It was a blast and although it was hard, we all made it! We were short 3 pair of snow shoes so the bishop, Amy (our guide) and I walked it. The mountains were beautiful, the weather was perfect, and we all had a great time together. The favorite thing for everyone was running down the side of the mountain in the fresh powder snow. I haven't had that much fun in a while. We took the girls home and we all crashed! Such a fun camp!!!
