Cabin Trip - Days 1 & 2

We headed to the cabin for the weekend and had a blast!!! Justin and Ali headed up with us and we were able to stay up Friday till Monday, so it was nice to be able to spend so much time up there. I sent the kids to school Friday morning so they could get their tests taken, then we picked them up around 11 and headed up. Luckily Javier and his friend came with us so they were a big help hauling everything up to the cabin on the snowmobiles. Justin and Ali got there a few hours after we did and once we all got settled the fun began! We had dinner and hung out most of the evening!

On Saturday we ventured outside to do some serious sledding. The kids loved going down the hill, even if Lexi loved chasing them. We played outside most of the day and ate lots of food. It was so relaxing!

Steve's Surprise 60th Bday Party

When we realized Steve would be turning 60 this year, we decided to throw a surprise party. It was fun to get a bunch of his family and friends together to celebrate. He had NO idea so it was fun to see his reaction. We went to one of Josh's new accounts, La Casa Del Mole and it was a blast!

3rd Grade Wax Museum

Brayden has been working on his book report for a few weeks. As soon as he thought of Chris Kyle he didn't want to consider anyone else. So he found him a biography book to read and he loved it! Luckily we already had the outfit. They let me bring him a paper gun to have just during the wax museum. He did great on his presentation and looked awesome!

Valentine's Day

Sunday holidays are always hard. But this year was a lot of fun! Josh gave each of the girls a rose, which is a new tradition we are hoping to do every year. So I gave Brayden a stuffed animal. For the evening we headed to Celeste's house for dinner and decorating cookies. So fun! After all the kids were in bed I set up a nice bubble bath, candles, and some sweet treats for Josh. I even bought bath salts! We were shocked at how nice the bath salts made the water feel. He was totally surprised because we are planning on going out Monday night.  It was a very romantic evening together! Monday night Josh and I went for a couples massage...which was fantastic! We have got to do that more! Then we headed to dinner. It was the first time we left all 5 kids with a babysitter and it went great!

School Vday

Because Valentine's Day is on Sunday, the kids had their school parties on Friday. I got up early to do hearts in the girl's hair and it turned out so cute! Everyone loved it! And of course, I didn't think it through when we decided to do Squeezits. Boy were those bags heavy! It was too heavy for Brooklyn to carry to school so Brayden stepped up and took Brooklyn's valentines to her class for her. So sweet!

Valentine Prep

We chose to do Squeezits for Valentines this year. The address labels didn't stick very well, but it worked and it was easy. All 4 kids needed to take Valentine's to their classes so we had a fun time making them all! Only Brooklyn needed a box this year, so it was fun to do hers and it turned out so cute!!!

End of Jr. Jazz

Brayden finished up his Jr Jazz season strong! He loved his team and his coach did a great job. We've realized that Brayden is ready for something a little more intense than rec ball, so we are going to be looking into getting him on a super league team. He's ready for a challenge! (Although it is fun to score 20 points per game...)
