Free Slurpees!

I had planned on taking the kids for free slurpees on 7-11. My awesome neighbor asked if we wanted to go on a bike ride to 7-11 with them. It took me a while to find all the parts to the bike trailer, and I was shocked that all the tires pumped up and held air. It was mostly uphill on the way there, but we made it! And had yummy slurpees. The way home was much easier. Thanks again, Tobi, for making our life more fun! Now that all the bikes and trailer are out and working, we plan on going on many bike rides this summer!

Cookies!

My neighbor, who is amazing, made a bunch of train cookies for her kids to decorate after reading The Little Engine That Could. She brought us some extras and the kids loved them! Thanks Tobi!

Swimming!

The kids have become obsessed with with swimming and playing on the slip 'n slide. I made a huge mistake and set up the slip 'n slide in the front yard in the middle of the day...burning a big spot on the grass. Oops. I've learned it has to be set up in the shade somewhere so it doesn't ruin the grass. The kids love it!

4th of July

We had planned on going to Park City for the weekend, but when that fell through we had to improvise. Josh had to go help someone move all morning/afternoon, so I set up the pools and slip 'n slide for the kids and their friends. It was a blast and they had a lot of fun! After baths and naptime, we got ready and headed to the Sandy parade. We LOVE the Sandy parade, and we love that it is in the evening rather than the morning. We found a great spot and had a great time. After the parade we headed back to our house and waited for the neighborhood to gather and set off awesome fireworks. Such a fun day!

Citizenship Award

Brayden was chosen by his teacher to receive the citizenship award at the year end assembly. Each teacher chooses and boy and one girl from their class each year to receive the award. We are so proud of Brayden for working hard all year and being such a great student.

Visiting Grammy

Josh's grandma's health has been going down for a couple of years. She's getting close to passing from this world, so we've been trying to visit as much as we can.
