Brewer Extended Family Christmas Party

The Monday before Christmas every year we have a FHE at my Grandparent's house. We always start with a talent show, then have dessert. We have been doing this for as long as I can remember. Here are Brooklyn, Paige, and Brayden:

Surprisingly, Brayden actually participated in the talent show! He first started talking randomly about his Spiderman book he was holding.
Then he finally sang the entire Cougar fight song. Here he is doing the "Go Cougars!"
I always play the piano. This year I played a Joseph Smith Medley that I arranged and dedicated it to my grandparents for their years of service in Kirtland, Ohio (4 missions.)
Every year it gets harder and harder as there are more and more great grandkids to try and entertain. Luckily I came prepared this year with a bag of quiet activities that our kids and Paige were able to do when they got bored.
Little Miss Brynlee getting so big!
After we got home the kids jumped back in the boxes they had been playing with all day.

Santa

We missed our ward Christmas party this year, so I was determined to find a Santa for the kids to go see. A few people recommended RC Willey and so we took them last Saturday to see him. THANK YOU to those who recommended going there. He was a great Santa, and there was no line. Before I was even ready with the camera Brayden jumped on his lap and started telling him he wanted a "sharp sword with a case." Hmmm...I guess he thinks that since his mom won't let him play with sharp swords that maybe Santa will bring him one. We'll see...

Brooklyn, however, was not a fan. She started screaming before she even got close. This was the best we could do:
And little Brynlee slept through it all, opening her eyes just long enough for a picture:

2 Months!!!

I can't believe that 2 months have already flown by. Brynlee is still such a good, calm baby. We love her sweet spirit in our home. She is sleeping great, although her "night" sleep begins around 1:30-3am. Then she'll sleep until the afternoon (with feedings along the way), she'll be up for a bit in the afternoon, take a nap, then she's up all evening starting @ 7pm. It's a very strange schedule, and nothing I do can change it. She's pretty stubborn and won't fall asleep or wake up unless it's her idea. Atleast she's happy when she's awake! I have to admit it's pretty nice, though. With her asleep for most of the day I've been able to spend a lot of time working on the house. And since we've been SO busy with the house we haven't taken many pictures, but here are a few pics I took of her at 2 months:

The Girls

For the most part, Brooklyn does pretty good with Brynlee. She loves to hold her and is always concerned where she is.

Play-doh

I haven't gotten the play-doh out for a while, so I thought it would be the perfect activity for the kids to do while I was working on the master bedroom. They loved it, of course.

Sleeping Beauties

It was so cute when I came upstairs from putting Brooklyn to bed to find these 3 snuggling on the couch. Josh can put Brynlee to sleep within seconds of holding her.

Festival of Trees (Catch Up Post)

It has become a tradition to go to the Festival of Trees with my college roommate, Monica, and her daughter Elise. We look forward to going every year and the kids really enjoy it. Here's Brayden in front of his favorite tree...Superheroes!

We always get sweetrolls and milk:

On our way out, I turned around to Brayden telling me to take a picture. Definitely can't pass up that opportunity!
