Swimming

I love watching the kids enjoy the pool. It's fun to see them play together and come up with all sorts of games and competitions.

18 Years!

It always catches me off guard how quickly each year goes by. We seem to get busier and busier but still manage to find time to get away and enjoy time with each other. We celebrated 18 years by going to a nice restaurant in Draper called The Cliff. It was a wonderful evening and I'm so grateful to be going through this life with Josh.

Dance Auditions

Just as a year ends, another one begins. There isn't much time off but these girls love it! They are ready for a fresh start and a change in teams and schedules. We love our dance family!

Piano Recital

The kids had another great piano recital. It's hard for them to find the time to practice bc they are so busy with dance and basketball, but they manage to do their best and continue improving every year. We love our teacher and the kids had a great recital!

So Tired

Once in a while this little peanut slows down long enough to rest lol. I love when I find her catching up on some sleep!

Bball Pics

I love when we get awesome pics of Brayden playing basketball. Here are a couple recent ones we got:

Bday Party

Brynlee and Brielle were invited to a birthday party for twins Kendyl and Sloane. They went to a cake decorating place and had a lot of fun cooking their cakes and decorating them!

Sojo Award

I got an email saying that Brayden was going to get an award at the middle school assembly. It was tricky with the timing but I was able to make it work to be there when they announced his name. Didn't surprise me at all. Brayden is a smart and just a good kid so teachers tend to really like him and award him for his dedication and kindness. He's going to do great things and I can't wait to watch what he accomplishes!

Ballet

One of the ballet teachers at the studio is in love with Brynlee. I have no idea the terminology she uses, but she tell me all the time the different things that Brynlee is just born to do. One day this is the move they were working on and apparently Bryn nailed it in her pointe shoes. By the time I got there for her to show it to me she had already taken her pointe shoes off so she did it without the shoes. Beautiful extension Bryn!

Jordan Ridge Choir

Brynlee has done the choir at school since they started it 2 yrs ago. She goes early once a week before school and really enjoys it. This year they started holding a small group choir option on Monday mornings and Bryn decided she wanted to do that one too. She has really loved doing both groups and she got to be in most of the numbers for the concert...she even had the only solo! She plans on doing it again next year and can't wait!

Shantelle’s Birthday

Another birthday come and gone. I went to lunch with my sisters and mom and got pedicures with Tobi in the afternoon. For the second year in a row my girls had dance pictures on my birthday, and this year they went pretty late in the evening. But we managed to gather all our kids from their activities and make it to dinner and Menchies.

Lily Pad

Costco rolled these out back in March and I debated whether or not to get one. I was afraid it would be too big for our pool and end up being dangerous. The second time I went to Costco and saw them still there I realized how light they were and decided to buy one before they were gone. Fast forward 2 months when we opened up the pool and opened up the lily pad. Oh my. That thing has completely changed how they play in the pool. It's all they play on and helped me not regret buying it. It's the perfect size and they literally play on it the entire time they are in the pool. Every time. Worth every penny!

Bruno

Yep. Josh found a snake and the kids went nuts over it. They got out the old aquarium and decided they were going to keep it as a pet. They named it Bruno and loved it. Until it got out of the cage. Then they found it in the garage and kept it again but with the same lid that allowed it to escape the first time. So it was inevitable that it would escape and there were many sad faces when they weren't able to find it again. Sigh.

Dance Recital

Year end recital! So many emotions go through these girls as this is the ending of such a great year. They get excited for the new year, but are sad to leave these routines and teams behind. They did a great job and it was fun to just sit back and watch them one last time!

Sojo Dance Company

Brooklyn had her year end concert with the Sojo dance company. She doesn't love it bc they don't do much compared to how much they do with Empower, but it's still fun to dance with school friends that she doesn't normally get to dance with. It was a cute concert and she's excited for another year next year!

Wheeler Farm

I wish I could have been one of those moms that could go on all the field trips with the kids during elementary school. But alas...I wasn't. Now that they are all in school it's easier for me to work out scheduling so that I can go and have fun with them. I was able to go to Wheeler Farm with Britney and her class and it was a lot of fun!

Mother’s Day

Mother's Day is always busy and rarely relaxing but it was fun nonetheless. The kids like to make me breakfast every year but since we had early church they decided to make me breakfast after church. We headed out to visit my mom then spent the evening with the Ericsons for dinner and to hang out. I love the pic of Bryn totally wiped out...dance hangover is a real thing and the girls are always completely exhausted after their conventions where they've danced their hearts out for 3-4 days.
