Brayden continues to give it his all in Mexico. He's still struggling with the language and his companion has been really hard to be with, but he is making it through day by day. Not a lot of people to teach but they keep trying!

Minerette Costumes

The costume ladies needed help finishing up the Minerette show costume so they asked if I could help them. It has been a stressful couple of weeks trying to figure out how to piece together their Siren costume, but it is turning out great! I had to cut all the nets that will be attached to the costume so I used tape on my floor as a pattern. 

 

Thanksgiving

We had the Ericson family over for Thanksgiving. It's always fun to relax and spend the day together. 

 

Wicked 2

On Thanksgiving morning we went with the Ericsons to see Wicked 2. It was amazing and we loved it!

 

Refugee Babies

The dad of the refugee family we provided Christmas for years ago reached out and asked if we could help. He has 2 daughter-in-laws that are pregnant and expecting babies soon. We were able to collect items from family and friends as well as money on a gift card. It was a neat experience to drop everything off. 

 

Minerette Formal

Brooklyn took Jamieson to Minerette Formal. It's a dance that just the Minerettes all do together. They had a blast!

 

End of Year Banquet

Josh has worked really hard this year. He couldn't have left Nicholas without having such a great team that also has worked hard. We are grateful for all those that have helped make it possible for Josh to work full time. Josh and his team received a lot of awards! And Josh gave a 45 min presentation that was inspiring, emotional, and touched a lot of people. 

 

Les Mis

Bingham put on Les Mis this year as their musical. It was incredible. It was fun to see so many kids that we know and they all did a phenomenal job. I wish I could've gone again bc it was SO good!

 

BYU Game

Another BYU game! Brielle joined us and it was a blast!

 

Hale Center Theater

Don and Alysha had extra tickets to Hale so we joined them. It was fascinating. The play was set up like we were watching it in black and white. I couldn't stop being mesmerized by how they did it.

St. George Retreat

We had a fun work retreat in St. George. We booked a beautiful house and had a blast playing in every part of it. It was the first time I tried playing pickleball since I hurt my back and I was surprised at how much I was able to do. I may be hooked! Josh and I played pickleball all weekend...I couldn't get enough of it! Every work retreat we go on we always spend an evening meeting together with everyone. We strategize, talk about our goals and how to achieve them, and try to help and inspire everyone. This retreat was noteworthy and humbling bc for the past 6 years we have gone on these retreats and discussed the goal of going full time. This time we were able to talk about how Josh was able to leave his job and go full-time. So many blessings and tender mercies. 

 

Bird Strike

And so it begins. Every year around this time we start getting birds running into our windows. It must be the position of the sun and the glare of the windows that make it looks like the birds can fly through them. I got out our owl and put it back up in the window. That seems to help. Luckily this bird was stunned but alive which is always good.
